  • Thanks newt! We actually tried to avoid blood at all as many people actually dislike the games because of violent aspects. There are some bloody marks on the obstacles which was already a bit risky move, but we found it looking good. You can't imagine how tempted I was to add blood spattering on player's death as I like these in games a lot . But yeah, in this game we decided to keep it quite clean.

    First of all I want to thank you again for your votes and support. We made it! The game is finally launched

    == ABOUT ULTIMATE SOLID ==

    Ultimate Solid is a physics-based game in platform world full of challenging obstacles and fun puzzle elements. Unlike the traditional platform games movement is limited to jumping only! By adjusting the strength and angle of each jump, the goal is to not collide with any hostile elements on the way to the finish line. Or rather, a vortex that sucks you all the way in to the next level.

    Sounds easy? Well, try it, you will be surprised . Oh! And by the way… you also have to collect powerups on your way to the end of the level. Collect them all and you will activate the endpoint and be allowed entry to the next level. Powerups are strategically placed throughout the level to challenge your skills!

  • Just FYI: problem still occurs in NWjs 0.17.0.

    I have changed the project name indeed. What was the issue with that newt? Can you give some more details?

  • No I can't reproduce it in Chrome. It only happens with NWjs. I might prepare the capx later.

  • Alright I went one by one NWjs versions. Problems starts from version 0.14.0 and up. So it might be Chromium 50 issue or something in NWjs. Olders versions don't have this issue.

    BTW: I saw I'm not the only one with this issue:

    Ashley is this something Scirra wants to cover? I mean will you report that to NWjs or should I do it?

  • I guess you have the same problem as I had with NWjs flickering. See my post here

  • After several tests I found out it's NWjs problem. I tried versions 0.16.0, 0.15.0, 0.14.7 and problem still was there. So I jumped back some more to the past and tried version 0.13.0-rc1 and with this version screen does not blink.

  • I'm not reporting this as a bug yet as I am not sure about the real reason of it. Just thought maybe someone experienced this already and could explain why this is happening.

    When I run my game with NWjs (no matter if it's preview or exported version, also no matter if it's SDK or normal version of NWjs), the screen flashes from time to time. This does not occur when I preview the game in the browser.

    All I managed to investigate is that it is related to Audio object. When I remove the Audio object, the screen doesn't blink any more. Is it possible that screen blinking/flashing might be caused by many/fast triggered audio sounds?

  • I have also joined few days ago. I must say Tigris created a great community which is growing insanely fast. A lot of very valuable and friendly people who share their knowledge, WIP, already released games, marketing experience and much more. Great job

  • Yes I saw this but I thiught it was fixed, but broken again by mistake, and if Ashley managed to fix it before he might be able to fix it quickly again (as he knows the problem already).
