  • Ah sorry Studio,

I added in the images in the Visual Assets tab as you recommended.

Yes the XBox Live Plugin is added, and it has the Title ID and SCID filled out.

I found that stackoverflow link too, and was just considering using that very forum!

    I'll post there now,

Thanks Studio Mercato, I appreciate all the help!

  • Thanks again Studio Mercato! Everything you've said so far has worked flawlessly, you're amazing.

It was the 15063 that worked for me.

Now my game is almost completely done and ready, except: https://imgur.com/a/hEpP1

(says: "This product requires a valid Xbox Live configuration. Address any configuration errors before submitting to certification. " and the submit button is grayed out)

Ugh, I guess one more issue!

If you happen to know the answer to this one, let me know. I'm going to keep poking and googling around!

    Edit:

It may be because Microsoft hasn't actually agreed that I'm a person yet:

  • In my poking around I found I need to rightclick the file> store>create app packages,

But now I'm getting a new error about images: https://imgur.com/a/gmbXk

Any idea how I can create these images or get rid of the line that references them so I can get it to create my app package?

    Thanks!

  • Thanks Studio Mercato! That fixed it!

Now I have another question, I finished the setup and tested and it all works through Visual Studios, but the guide: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/9540/u ... n-uwp-apps

Does not show how to actually turn it into a .xap, .appx, .appxbundle, or .appxupload file which Microsoft requires to upload.

I've hit both Deploy and Build on my project, but I don't see any options for creating one of those files. I'll keep poking around, but any help is appreciated!

    Thanks!

  • Still having issues with this. Anyone?

  • Hi, I am following this guide on publishing to XBox Live:

    https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/9540/using-xbox-live-in-uwp-apps

    I got to this step:

    [quote:11esnjpp]Setting up Visual Studio

Once you have exported from Construct, you'll have a Visual Studio solution that you can open. Once you open it in Visual Studio you'll need to make a couple more changes for Xbox Live support to work.

First of all you need to install the Xbox Live package. Do this by right-clicking the project item in the Solution Explorer (which has the name of your project) and choosing Manage NuGet Packages... Switch to the 'Browse' tab and search for Xbox Live. Select the package named:

And when I open my .sln file in Visual Studios it says "No projects supported by NuGet in the solution." (screenshot below)

Which is causing me to believe I exported or set up my file incorrectly. Has anyone run into this yet?

Running Visual Studio version 15.3.5, and Construct 2 version 247.

  • What do you mean by filter it?

  • I'm working on a game where an enemy can steal an object from a player, but both the player and enemy can only hold one object at a time. These objects are then pinned to the players/enemies body. The problem is is whenever a player OR enemy picks up a new item, it unpins all previous items they could have picked up, but it ALSO unpins whatever object the other is holding.

Is there a better way to manage who has what pinned to them?

  • Thanks Asmodean, that worked!

  • Hi, recently whenever I add a new event, action, or really anything in my event sheet the mouse jumps to the button it thinks it should go to. This is incredibly distracting and disorienting. Anyone have any idea how to turn this off?

In case you don't understand, I made a gif:

  • Hey guys! Sorry for the late reply! I solved my own issue (though I now have a new issue I'm trying to solve haha)

Anyway, I solved it by having player1 family use default controls, and player 2 family (both with the platform behavior) and have WASD simulate control!

  • Hello again!

This time I am working on spawning my characters and making it so they are controlled properly.

I currently have 3 characters players can chose between and I already have it so player1 and player2 spawn correctly, however I need to have all of the player1 characters set to one control scheme, and the player2 characters set to another.

Is there any way I can do this simply through families? Or will I have to make two copies of the character and with different controls?

Edit: In fact, is there some way I can OnKeypress 1 set (character) into (family1)?

  • Thank you JoyfulDreamer, that sounds perfect. Can you please give me an example of how?

Edit: I got it! All I did was set it so when the X of the character is greaterthan or equal to the last part of the stages X, my characters X was set equal to the other side of the stages X (and vise-versa)

    Thanks!

  • Hello, I am pretty new to Construct 2 (and loving it!) and I am making my first real game in it, a fighting game.

I would like to make a single ground that if players run all the way left or all they way right they eventually end back up on the other end. I don't want it to feel like they teleported to the other end of the screen, but rather like they ran around the world. I hope that makes sense.
