  • The first and main issue here is the language. Nothing wrong with English or with C2, but could encourage people around world if C2 maintain a translated (or to document what changed, so, we could help on this) version for various kind of languages.

    It's pure statistical, but 1 in 1000 know english here, and him maybe never minded about C2. By the other side, 1 in 10 kids wants make their game to play around and show for their friends, play together, etc, increasing their skills and introducing them to the Game Designer / Programmer world.

  • Hello, my name is Gabriel Mackievicz Telles, from Brazil.

    I am a Civil Engineer Senior from a Local Company, and I do calculate various type of buildings and special building, for Commercial, Highways, and Industrial purposes.

    I teach kids for free, one time by month, on Saturdays.

    These kids are 12 years old and they are from schools of my region from Curitiba - PR.

    A time ago, I translated Construct 2 and the translation was shared on the IGMBrasil.com, but I decided to give up of this activity because the spare time was oriented to other purposes.

    Here they learn the basics of Construct 2, using the Free version and the Template of my signature, and when one of them demonstrates very interested in learning, I teach other types of games, orienting by email, Skype, forum and personally.

    This year I would make a free Game Class exclusively for kids 10 years old, because the interest on each one vary, but the average curiosity on each age is similar, so, girls of 10 years old, likes to customize the doll with different clothes and then take a screenshot, while when 12 years old, they like Farmville, arcade, etc.

    The main difficult here are the computers, they are very expensive, so, I did a huge fundraising from locals, and started to teach with three used computers, with CTR monitors, plus, I bought three more from my pocket and, it was donated.

    I believe we still learning, especially when one have curiosity and someone else have the benevolence of give you a hand.

    Therefore, hope someone come to Brazil, and visit my city, give me a "Hello".

  • Hello, I bought a text font and want use it on the project, so, any possibility to learn how do I upload it with the font to the game?

    After a research about the problem, I saw many posts and tutos saying about web fonts, and others about CSS, but I have no idea of how them work.

    The web font didn't worked. I followed the entire tutorial from Ashley and the game won't show the right font, so, I bought another font, and now, I have no clue of how to show it on the game while playing on the internet.

    I'm testing my skills to speed up the productivity while using Construct 2.

    So, I decided to test it on a simple game, but this game become nice, and my friends told me to share it here.

  • hey Kyatric or Yann is there a way to download movies somehow?

    Unfortunately for some time now I have strange issues with youtube on my pc (it throws me an error in chrome an ie every time I want to open any video or even download it, and can't find solution to fix this) and watching twitch consumes my bandwidth a lot. I have only mobile internet with harsh limits during the day but it's free and with no limits at night.

    I'am asking cause session I've watched live last week took almost half of my monthly limit - that was a nice surprise :D

    Also, placing the movies on the youtube is helping a lot, because I'm not so fluent in english to hear and understand, so, there I have the subtitles to help a little bit ^^

    I voted for a debugger. Yes, if I only want to trace variables I use textBox or Chrome console, but the real benefit of using a debugger is to step through events one by one and see the state of the SOL and variables at a specific moment in time.

    I really don't like the way search function works in C2. I want to see all the events, not filter them, instead I want my keyword highlighted.

    Also a good option will be to highlight all the instances of the object or variable on which i clicked.

    I had almost give up on C2 only 1 month after purchase for the lack of a debugger, but now I see that Scirra team is working real hard to satisfy most of us.

    I actually do it using textbox, where is the difficult? And I think the most part of the users from this community never did more complex games than me, using simple textbox.

    Please, don't throw so far the textbox if you're unable to extract the best of this feature.

    Per happen, will be nice to have this feature alive someday, to help the newer users.

    My understanding is you must set the option to "best" so that it will only update your score if it exceeds the previous one. In other words, it will not add another score, it will just change the old one, to the new best one.

    It's already configured, it's not working.
