  • Thanks!

  • So, how can I get the angular direction from my player (PlayerImage), to anothe Sprite (DirectionSprite)?

  • .

  • Don't think you can. Ask Ashley?

  • Voted your tutorial. Nice .capx by the way.

  • Use this:

    Mouse>Object Clicked>Start_Button_Name>System>Go To Layout>Choose_Layout_Name_From_The_Drop_Down_Menu

  • Hey, i'm not new, just looking for the badge, lol. Anyway's, I make pretty good games, currently creating a nice well prepared Gravity/Universal based Platformer.

  • So, I have a Box, and when the player touches a certain area on the box, I want the box to rotate, but rotate based upon the Player's position. Get it? Basically, let's say the Player is on the bottom side of the box (Inside of course), the play moves to the right side of the box, and when he touches the right side, the box will rotate around the character, so it acts as if gravity changed and the character is now on the right side, but is still standing like a person should be standing. It's hard to explain, does anyone know what i'm saying?

  • Well, for smooth character movement, since there isn't a nice way for doing WASD, I did the Key Is Pressed event, took the characters current position, and then added around 3.5 pixels to each part of the character, eh?

  • Do you for something like an automatic weapon? Well, I had the same problem, Mouse>Button Is Down>System Create Object>Bullet

And that would spam the creation of bullets. So what did I do? Well, I created a global var named "CanShoot", then for the first event, I did:

    Mouse>Button Is Down>System Create Object>Bullet

                        >System>SetValue>CanShoot to "false"

                        >System>Wait 1

                        >System>SetValue>CanShoot"true"

Then I added a condition to the Mouse>Button Is Down for checking if CanShoot was true or false.

  • So, earlier I posted about wanting to know how Sqiddler (Name wrong?) created the rotation of his game AirScape. I saw his tutorial, thanks to someone who posted the link for me, and when I tried the tut, I failed. So, I created a download, (Sorry, not a .capx, but a .zip) and my character just falls right off the map. Any clue why? I know it's cause of gravity, but I thought what the tutorial was showing was to prevent that and all. Anyway's;

  • So, what can I do with a family? (Grouped Objects). Can I rotate them based upon a center point. What can I do with them?

  • So, I saw that nice game AirScape, and I needed that same kind of rotation for my game too, it'd make my levels bigger and stuff (My game is not a platform game, it's something else). So how did sqiddles do it?

  • Found my problem. Physics won't be "Blocked" by Solid objects, you have to set the Immovable feature of Physics to the Solid block.

  • So, I'm creating a Physics game, and well, the Solid object isn't working. So, I have two Sprites in my game, "Ball", and "Obstacle". "Obstacle" has the Solid object, and "Ball" has the Physics object, and BoundToLayout Object, when I run the game, the ball sprite goes straight through the obstacle sprint, I even moved it up above the obstacle sprite. Help? If you need a .capx, lemme know.
