Ashley, that's kind of the idea, I would assume that once I am paid, and hand over the rights, I no longer have any say in the game or any profit generated thereafter. I'm curious to find out what sort of prices I could possibly be looking at up front for a whole developed game.

    Regards.

  • Hi,

I know a lot of companies do the whole royalty / profit share schemes mostly these days, but was wondering if anybody knew of any companies who would be prepared to buy games outright ( assuming it was of commercial value ) ?

I'm looking for a list of companies, etc that do this sort of thing, where I would recieve an agreed set price and then hand over all copyrights to the game, and the game itself, to the purchasing company.

  • Really, that's great news, I suppose I'm still at the early stages with the software, and don't know the full extents of what is currently possible with Construct.

  • 3D used to give a 2d game 'perspective' would be very nice indeed, I would love to be able to push my game ideas further with some 3d usage for foreground and background elements.

Good examples of what I mean / propose : -

  • Hi,

Wasn't sure where to put this, but thought it would fit in here, it's a dock icon I designed for Construct for myself, as the original version didn't size well ( pixellation ).

    <img src="http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk222/SUNCHIRP/Construct.png">

I had originally designed it to fit on the side, as a 'C', but after mockups, I preferred the downward direction, kind of reminded me of the old idea ( light bulb ) visual gag.

I have included both the .png and the original Illustrator file ( CS4 ) should anyone want to also utilise the icon ( or edit it to better suit their tastes ).

  • Thanks for the replies, everyone.

I'm going to have a run through the ghost shooter tutorial as is, and see if I can get up to speed with how things work inside of Construct.

  • Hi,

Just discovered Construct recently, and was hoping to ask a few questions : -

    1. Is it possible to create a quiz type game, i.e. have a question, and let a user click on choice A, B or C type scenario ? And is there any examples of this already created ?

    2. Would it also be possible to store these values, in a score type system ?

    3. How difficult would it be to have 'scores' saved physically ?

    4. Is it possible to have a user 'sign in' and have the game remember their name next time ?

    5. Can I add a movie file (essentially a trailer ) to a game, and if so, what formats are supported ?

    6. Similarly, can I add flash movies to a game ( for instance as a logo intro ) ?

    Thanks.
