  • I can respect the not having the means to hire more people to create exporters. But can you at least shed more light on your plans for Appmobi and if you will it will benefit people looking to create mobile games?

The accelerated canvas is supposedly a way to get around html5 and the native browser limits.

Also if you don't have time for exporters, the EXE one might be easier than you think. Awesomium is free for indies making less than a certain amount, and I am sure that fits most users here.

Could you not find a way to export Awesomium exes, since you do not have to update the export when you release new html5 changes because its a browser that runs the code it will be easy once you have it working, it should be set and forget with no more updates for the exporter.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I completely agree with the OP. HTML5 is basically useless. I too have been very disappointed with the performance of HTML5. I have many Mobile devices, tables, chromebook, PCs and Mac and there is never a common performance between them to make 1 game for all devices and expect it to work well.

Appmobi is our best bet if we do not get real exporters. I honestly say there is no decent game creator for Android, there are a few for IOS.

If C2 could export to Android, it would be a huge success because Ashley would own the market.

  • Yeah, we hope to be adding more integration in future!

    That's the best news I heard yet for Construct2 <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • It would be great if we could get appMobi speed with our C2 creations

  • Thanks, I did a no no and assumed pack app mean it was packed. But yes it's just raw files in a folder.

I can still see including files within Construct IDE an easy way to keep track of shared assets that gets pulled in to the export, but I know you guys are pretty busy.

  • Is there a way to include extra files with our exported project, now that we have a html iframe plugin I have some interesting things I like to do, but I need the files included with the exported version.

When I export html5 I can copy the files manually to the directory and it works great, but I have no way of doing that with a chrome export.

Basically I am using the iframe plugin to display my html docs and images locally.
