  • Thankyou Vallar & Mr E

This isn't the final game. I was hoping to put a much more colourful and less descriptive level in first before enabling the player to proceed to my complete CV (this current demo level). On my website I will also provide the option to have a normal CV. After many years of using the same format for job hunting I'm a merely trying to take a different approach this time.

Mr E - I am currently trying to design a character but as this was using a lot of my time I figured I would "borrow" an existing sprite for the demo just to get a feel and see if I should continue with this. Or if I was just wasting my time on an idea no one would appreciate.

Vallar - It was a Gameplay problem I really hit a wall and could not work out how to get the player to layout 2. I will look at the colour scheme/remove a few platforms and I agree with the collision problems. A comment on the game suggests a jump through option.

Thank you for your comments, they has given me some good points to look at and work on.

  • Hi Chan, thank you for your response. I am aware of the pressure HR departments are under to recruit for specific roles. This is the reason I am trying to do something different. I have read a number of stories of people doing unique things to promote themselves and being successful, here is my attempt.

I will try to make a version where the whole CV is visible but my concern would be the font size. I was hoping to create a second level in which the background was more colourful and contained skills rather than detailed information.

  • Hi all,

So I've decided to try and take a different approach to get myself noticed by potential employers by creating an interactive CV. I do not have much experience of this world and when I started I thought I had a truly original idea. Turns out I didn't and someone got there before me. I have not let this deter me and so I have created my first game. Please can you all have a play let me know what you think and recommend any suggestions.

I was going to create a second level which was brighter and more directional, however I cant work out how to get the player to transport to level 2. Any advice?
