  • I tried everything but I get stuck because pining one family to another family or object to family or family to object makes whole family move together when pinned... Is there a way I could pin an instance of object ( Which is "base' for my units to make movement and selection easier ) to an instance of unit ( That has its own family ) in such way that every unit created has its base and they all function separate of each other?

  • AllanR Thank you so much! This is amazing, I just did it ( On a bigger scale ) and it works perfectly! I can`t thank you enough..

    drive.google.com/open

  • Thanks so much not only does it help with provinces it also helps with ownership over them which I can change with this plugin!

  • I know that there is "is over object" but it won`t work for me because my sprites have transparent parts too so even when mouse isn`t over the sprite it technically is :/

I would like to be able to select each of the provinces ( I cut them up in photoshop and exported them as separate png files ) but that isn`t possible if their boundaries overlap

See? It is a big problem and I can`t continue without solving it, is using collisions possible? And if so wouldn`t it lag the game to have around 250 collision dots?

    Thanks in advance guys!

  • Thanks! I had something similar in mind but didn`t know how to do it as I started using C2 month ago

  • This is an amazing community and you guys always help me when I have a problem, I like doing stuff myself and learning alone but some stuff is hard

I made isometric game in which you can move buildings (like in clash of clans) and I wanted to know if there is an easy way to sort them out? (so that the buildings in front would actually be in front when I move them)

I had an idea using positions and making layers for each line so that it would test for position and tell object on which layer it should be but it looks a bit too hard and there might be easier way

    Thanks in advance!

  • Thanks newt, that`s helpful!

  • I can`t find tutorials on YT and I would really want to make game based on this (base building)..

If you know a good tutorial you can link it to me or you could explain it to me in post , thanks in advance!

  • Thank you all for responding.. I guess I could use a map with smaller amount of states to make it easier

  • Can you specify the animations problems? Is your animation too slow/fast? You can change how fast animation frames change..

And what about control? Do you get stuck in blocks/walls.. Fall trough Ground... ?

If so make sure you have platformer behavior and solid (for your ground).. If you are still getting stuck go into animation and change hit box of player.

    Hope this was helpful!

  • What I am talking about is a game like Rome Total War with cities, or Call of War with provinces.. maybe like Age of Civilizations?

Here is picture of "Call of War" map

So is there a way to make each province or state on the map a separate object in construct 2 to enable me to name them and give them color (owner)

I know there are some useful tools like shoebox but it doesn`t really work for me, I can manually place in every state in its place, any ideas? <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" />

Or is there a way to change color of provinces (inside of whole map) with events?
