• DEATH BRINGERS 2!

Hello constructers! It's been almost 2 years since I last posted about Death Bringers (DB1). Well, after a good long hustle of building on that game, it finally came to an end... but worry not! Updates only halted because I was deviously hard at work on its sequel !

Please, if you have some spare time, check it out and give me your thoughts! I'd love to hear back from the community.

Much like the old game, it is focused on killing stuff, looting stuff, and become a bawss! However, there a few new things this time around.

EDIT: Yes, Sphynx Games has become It's Thomas Studios.

#1: Equipment changes how your character looks.

#2: No more OP af legendary items

    #3: New story, new regions.

#4: Dedicated to Irish's Lore of Rathe.

#5: New bank system that allows you to twink items between your characters.

#6: Skilling is in this game (oh yes I did!)

#7: Gear in this game has no level requirement, however your character may advance in Shakrea throughout the game.

#8: Multiplayer (Still a work in progress, but it appears to be functioning)

#9: Trading between players will be a major focous, but you can only drop items to other players atm.

#10: No more shopping spree! While there are still shops in DB2, money is not the focus of the game.

#11: Play off-line, and import your character on-line. That's right!

#12: Living game. Updates keep coming, so just head to the forums to see if there is a new version.

#13: Much, much more. Just pop in and check it out!

Yes, a lot of assets were used from OGA, and a couple from OPP. They're listed in credits, and I love those people

  • Love the plugin, but I'm experience one, rather disappointing bug.

I'm working on my sequel to my RPG titles, and I'm using multiple spine skins "stitched" together, and the result is beautiful... in the preview client.

However, when exported, the spine images simply do not appear! (This isn't a referencing issue, and yes, I exported the project without the script minifier).

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi guys! Sphynx Games here! Death Bringers is now in what I consider Beta. It needs some testing and suggestions. I'm making regular updates to it, and would like some community backing.

If you're returning from alpha, you can keep your save, just tell me how it effects your over all gameplay.

The forum to it is: Http://www.DeathBringers.Freeforums.net/

(Just like last time, you can find the download there)

    About the Game:

    Style: Top Down

    Genre: Looter

Gameplay: Mixes Top-down shooter, slasher, and skill mashing into one very

    playable game.

    Description:

The planet Rathe is in a time of Crisis, known as The Awakening. The Demon Lord Terske wishes to engulf the planet in what is known as the Ekke Deminsion. If he accomplishes this, it means endless torture for all inhabitants of Rathe. The hope of the world rests in the hands of the 4 known as the Death Bringers.

Features: A good sense of end game with that randomised loot we all love!

Quick-paced gameplay: So it feels more like a game and less like chores!

Play your own way: With diverse disciplines.

Never stop evolving: Between your Shakrea, your gear, and your playstyle, you'll always find new ways to play your character.

Updates a-coming! This beta features Breaking Chiavera Part 1; In Breaking Chiavera part 2, you'll be able to roam around in a new map, complete new quests, gather new loot, and have access to even more levels!

Note: The bulletin board in the picture has its scaling off (That's already fixed and put into 1.02 )

  • Current version is now 0.6.4a

  • So um.. as a starter game. What do you guys think? (I hand did the animations, I had no clue about gimp/spriter. I'll make sure to take advantage of those programs for future projects).
