  • Thanks for the infomation guys! I not to fond of using programs on web browsers but I do like what I've heard given the alternatives.

  • I'm very new to the construct user base- but this looks great, reminds me of the SNES mega man X wall grappling/slipping.

How can I begin to work with these templates? I have dozens of ideas and already platformer ready sprites to use but I'm nervous as to how to begin with the software on it.

  • Hi, I'm a new construct user and it looks like i've showed interest at a reasonably good time on the peak of Construct 3, since I'm new and I only recently downloaded Construct 2- I might aswell start with Construct 3.

However I don't even know where to begin- is this program only run by browser? I prefer constructing projects with a standalone program than off a browser, to me it just feels wierd and limited. Is there an exe I can download to begin with?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I will check those videos out and hopefully be able to make a good starting project

  • Ah I see now, I'll have a look at these example demos, who do you recommend to watch/learn from regarding developing platformed games?

I notice that alot of game exe's seem to be browser playable- does that mean that construct does not deploy into there own thing?

  • Hello sorry for the late response! I've got work off today so I'm able to start a few beginnings on things.

I've played your little demo- very nice! Reminds me of those old SNES games where the levels would rotate. I love platform games and always wanted to make an awesome platform-shooter but never had the brains to do it. I will try construct 3 but I don't see it on steam anywhere?

Do you know if there are early made project files available to build off with Construct also? I usually find myself able to learn better of pre-built projects as a beginner.

  • Hi everyone, I'm very new to Construct 2 and have downloaded the trial, it's very different to what I'm used to which is the RPG Maker games.

I'm not sure if this is the topic to begin introductions so i'll apologies in advance for that

    A little about me:

I'm a spriter and artist and bit of a game developer as I'm working with an RPG Maker Game- as a side hobby I participate in sprite comic role playing and drawing and the occasional gaming.

To get started I suppose working on a starter kit would be the best place to start to understand the program.

    How do we do?
