Also you don't need to make another object with grass at opposing angle, just stretch the image the other way around.

Thanks man, I'm not sure how I managed to miss that. I feel pretty stupid now considering what I went through as an alternative.. that's definitely much easier.

  • Hi friends,

So I've been at this for about two weeks now, and I can't seem to find any other post about it. What I'm trying to do is to make it appear as though wind is blowing blades of grass back and forth on the screen in a fairly convincing manner. The capx I've attached should explain most of it, but what I've tried doing so far is using a timer to change the rotation patterns of the grass back and forth, and then what you'll find in the attached capx is an invisible sprite that essentially bumps back and forth in a "ping-pong" fashion that affects the grass accordingly. No matter what I do, it looks completely stupid, and although this isn't a major element of the gameplay, I think it could go a long way in creating an effective atmosphere. Any suggestions are welcome, thank you very much for your time!

Here's the link to the capx:

  • Alright, I can't find a whole lot of helpful things on this, so I feel like I'm missing something, but I really just don't understand how sound or music works in here, and I can't get it to work, so can someone explain this to me or direct me to a thread that does or something?

What I don't understand is, if you add sounds or music files to the Project tab on the right, how do you play them? And if I have to load them from somewhere else on the computer, do they still get put into the final .exe or whatever?

  • Tokinsom, your grouping idea worked like a charm, thank you! And untune, thank you for directing me towards those forum topics, I took a look at them and they are actually pretty helpful for other things as well.

  • Alright, maybe this is just me missing something but I can't seem to find this anywhere so here's the problem.

I have a character with an Idle animation, a Walking Animation, and various other animations like Attack, Block, etc. The Idle animation is set to play when the character is not moving, and the Walking animation is set to play when the character IS moving. This works fine and dandy. But the Attack animation is set to play when the Left Mouse Button is clicked, but when I click the Left Mouse Button, the animation glitches for a second and just continues to be idle, like it's trying to play the Attack animation but goes back to Idle anyway. I know this probably has something to do with him still not moving and clicking the button at the same time but I dont know how to separate the two.
