  • vybr Does it needs some special preparations? like minification on/off some special fullscreen scaling settings? Is there a place somewhere where i can find more info?

  • Noga

That's cool. i might try that with my project.... just need to find some info how to export it to Cocoon. xD

  • Is new cocoon supporting webgl? They got some issues with it last time I checked.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Noga did you use old Cocoon? or new ".io" one?

  • I think I will not exaggerate saying "This is probably the most beautiful game made in C2 so far".

  • nikosurfing Yes it does. No problems here with r206

Just found it, there is something nice about it...

  • xanxion No and no once again. Some people bought C2 to be able to do browser games only so do not speak for them. And second no, Native Exporter is not even near the "Ultimate Performance" whatever the hell that means.

Once again, stop spamming this thread with shit not related to Crosswalk.

Edit: Next time think before posting. it actually is faster than deleting pointless posts.

  • Most if not ALL C2 Users want the Native Exporter because it would provide the Ultimate Performance which we obviously do not enjoy as it is right now.

    s.

    No and No.

and btw. If you don't like it you are free to go somewhere else. But please stop spamming this thread about useless informations. This thread is about performance issues and solutions for Crosswalk.

It really depend on the project. Personally i hate playing and developing mobile games xD but job is the job. You get simple games and more complicated ones and it's all up to you to decide what engine you want to choose. For example i would never use C2 for 3d game - even with amazing Q3D plugin, because it's a bit to complicated. I found UE4 a lot easier than C2+Q3D

  • szymek

If i had a lot of money I would never ever in my life choose Unity, even although it's somewhat free now I will still never chose that engine.

  • Which one mobile phones are super powerful?

I just made what you said "one solid color square having a sine behavior with empty background" and added extra sprite font to display some info

Tested on two devices I had in front of me: 3 years old Samsung Galaxy S3 (Android 4.3) and Sony Xperia something (Android 4.1). Both are not new and not powerful at all, just plain mobile phones from previous era xD

Build in XDK 1995 with CW12

On both devices: webgl is on, cpu usage 4-5%, fps 60. all works fine, nice and smooth.

Here are capx and apk files

  • yeah, but those issues are not XDK or crosswalk faults. CW takes what google have, and XDK takes what CW have ultimate circle of doom xD

Bigger files? so what? 17mb for a game is not bad at all. Android games from UE4 are like ~60mb by default

We not living in 90s anymore, 20mb for a game is not the end of the world

  • szymek

I didn't use sine behavior for long time xD but LiteTween work fine

Maybe that's the thing, I usually just use Fade, Pin, LiteTween and all the movement I making myself in events

  • Egyptoon

I'm aware of all issues with crosswalk. But i'm not noticing any of this in my current project on devices we test the game on (except that one). All build I made in last 3 weeks with CW7 - CW10 works for us and all our testers very nicely and smoothly, there are occasional frame drops but nothing to be worried or concerned about.
