  • I have six objects that are created in the layout at random times at random positions. Most of the time they are away from each other means not touching each other, GOOD. But sometimes they are created in a way that one object is touching one or two other objects. So is there a way to make sure that none of the object touch each other when created.

  • Anyone?

  • I have read a lot of posts regarding this issue and found nothing helpful (I would say easy). Basically I want the effect shown in this video. So if someone have a .capx file or know how it can be done?

  • I got that part right. But the thing is that life value changes (e.g. if hit by bullet). I only want to pick the initial value from that instance variable, not the current value.

  • Is there a way to display the initial value of instance variable in a text? Like I have a variable called life with initial value of say 30 which will decrease as the game continues. Different objects have different life of course so cant just put that 30 manually in the text. So can I just pick the initial value without creating another variable?

Plus I want to pick the name as well but I guess same principle would apply there as well.

  • No I don't want to destroy it either. I want it as a continuous flow.

  • I am trying to create a laser beam that comes out of gun. But instead of it covering the whole width of the layout I want it to expand to the point where mouse pointer is currently at.

    I am using [quote:3j0g0ipt]distance(player.X,player.Y,mouse.X,mouse.Y)

Works fine, but I want it to stop on a solid object which is in the way. So if pointer is behind the solid, the laser shouldn't cut through it, rather stop at the solid. So how can I achieve this?

  • Yep, 201 is working. I wonder if there is a way to get the latest version to work on Windows XP as well.

  • already done. nothing worked

  • I have created a family of objects with different heights, so when an object will be created it will be of different height. I want to compare the height with distance, like if object's height was 100px I want to check if Y+100 is traveled then create next object above which will have a different height, say 250px, so how to automatically alter the condition?

  • I want to create a random object outside the layout on which bullet behavior is enabled which moves it down. I am trying to perform it in this order,

    Create object which moves down.

When it enters the layout, check if it have traveled the distance that equals its own height.

When it meets the condition, create another object (once) outside the layout, that will move same as first created.

I have compared Y with Height but of no use. Any suggestions?

Preview worked on older version like 168, but after updating it to 206, preview won't start. No problem with the ports, I have checked that ports needed for this are open
