  • Something strange happens when looping sounds in projects that were

exported to desktop(only in windows ... don't know what happens on mac)

    First system specs:

SYSTEM : AMD PHENOM X4 (Windows Vista 64 bit full up to date)

Graphics cards : Sapphire 6850 (up to date)

I created two layouts and one ogg file to loop.

I works well in chrome(there is a *click* sometimes but it works

and this is a known chrome problem when looping sounds)

but when I export it to the desktop and start it then, it doubles the sound

everytime you start the first layout. It is like one of the stops does not work.

I reproduced it in the simplest way 2 layouts and one button to change

from one layout to the other.

Here is the link for the capx

    and

here the link for the exported project (only windows) with the node web kit but awsomium in release 114 had the same problem

  • I have to say I tested it in chrome, firefox and opera but I don't use IE so often. I've seen no bug reports or windows anywhere but I only tested it in Constructs preview.

And yes in firefox and chrome it happens everytime I try. I only tested Opera once so I don' really know if it works anywhere else once in a while.

  • I have the same problem as Jase00 and others.

Falling through "jump-thru" in the platformer template doesn't work

    whatever I do.

Tested in 3 browsers and tried to get it to work... no chance.

  • Yep this is possible. I guess it was some google chrome thing that caused the lag of performance.

  • Reinstalled Chrome and all AMD Drivers again. Now it works fine again.

    It wasn't Construct.

    <img src="smileys/smiley24.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Problem solved.

And thank you Ashley for the great support.

  • Maybe it is somethings that my Vista PC cause only on my pc.

They run fine on any other system, but I have no other Vista to compare this issue

  • Ok I have to correct myself ... chrome on Windows XP 32 bit is working.

  • Hi I have a problem with 2 of my projects. Since release 93 or 94 I experience a lag of performance.

Framerate is jumping from 60 FPS to 30 FPS and so on.

    Which causes a unplayable game.

    Running on Vista 64 bit.

    Browsers Firefox/Chrome

(tested this on XP 32 bit to... same thing)

This one is an old version running perfect :

    burnburnburn.square7.ch/blob/

and this one is the newer version (functions changed but two weeks ago it ran such as clean as the old one )

    burnburnburn.square7.ch/blobx1/

    Any suggestions ?

    A bug ?

    Browser Problem ?

Hi I'm Sammy ... for now there nothing more to say.

  • I solved it <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" />... and it wasn't construct causing that problem.

The problem was FileZilla. I simply switched the transfered data type

    from ASCII to automatic.

    That's all.

Thanks for your help, I would have wasted hours with finding that

    problem.    <img src="smileys/smiley31.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Ok this is the export 64 bit windows vista (not working) :

    http:/www.burnburnburn.square7.ch/myalfaxx/

and this is the build with 32-bit windows xp (working):

    http:/www.burnburnburn.square7.ch/myalfaV3/

all pictures are in the folder where they belong to.

If you want the .capx file send me a PM. I don't want to publish

everything here since it is my private project for work.

  • Hi there this my first post and I guess a bug.

I'm using release 84/85 (it's same problem for both releases).

Running on windows vista 64 bit.

    The problem :

After exporting the project and uploading it, there are no graphics.

Only thing I see instead is same image for all graphics, that shows

something like a broken image. Same thing for the sound.

So I guess all media couldn't be found too.

The functional part of the game works.

If I do the export again on a 32-bit windows xp system and upload it

    everything works fine.

    A bug I guess.
