  • Using the Construct 3 Mobial Advert plugin, do you need to create an Interstitial Ad every time you want to show one or do you just create it once at the beginning of the app and then call "Show Interstitial" every time you want to show it?

    In my tests i have found if i only create it once i can show it only one time, the only way i could show it multiple times was if i created one every time i wanted to show it. But im asking to make sure if im doing it right.

  • Well, when you preload something you do so to make sure that it's ready when you want it.

    It doesn't matter if you call it if that's not something you're worried about.

    Theres also a good chance that it might not be ready even if you do.

    I know why you would preload an Ad, what i dont know is if you need to preload every time you show the ad, see the example in my original post.

    Kind of pointless to preload without knowing that it's finished don't you think?

  • Hi i have a question about AdMobs Banner and Interstitial Ads. My question is when exactly do you need to preload them. Say in the main menu i preload a Banner Ad and when its ready i make the Banner Ad show but when the game starts i hide it so it doesnt detract from the gameplay. Once i get back to the Main Menu should i preload a Banner Ad again or is the previous hidden Banner Ad still loaded and ready to show? The same question goes for Interstitial Ads, do i have to preload them every time i want to show them? Or preloading once is enough?

  • Well i intended to use some assets for commercial use and technically the license only allows use for Construct 2 that is why i asked.

  • I mean, the license for the Asset Pack says it can be used for Construct 2,i guess it applies for C3 as well?

    Oh wow it really is the same gameplay but your friends game has way cooler style.

    I actually agree about the speed of the box, i tried making it faster but i found myself having a lot of collision problems. The worst thing about Continuum Box is the way i implemented the movement it was a really hacky messy way, and thats why im honestly not that happy with it, i ended up rushing to publish it to learn about exporting/publishing and monetizing with admob. What kind of sounds are you talking about, i think every action has a sound, there is not much to do move, collect stars, hit the wall. Later levels introduce new mechanics that add new sounds.

    Glad you enjoyed SPC. Flappy Math was more an experiment to test how much atention can a game get on the store based on "famous" keywords like Flappy, turns out, not that much.
