  • ok thanks for the reply, I have just edited the capx (still in the same location)

    The problem still occurs.

    In the main game I am asking the player to log in but the API isn't loading.

    On the test example when you run the file it produces a white background.

    In the event sheet I have stated the image will only appear when the facebook API is ready.

    When the API is ready the log in sprite will appear and a prompt to log in should appear.

    When you have successfully logged in the page should move to layout 2 and display the YAY image.

  • Depends how you want it work,

    You could try making the sprite a global sprite and that will help position it where it left off

    You could try a start of layout event setting the sprite to a custom position on the new layout

    Both of these answers should help, at the least it should point you in the right direction

  • You could try setting a global variable called "cooldown" and set it to 15 when the cool down is used.

    Then once the cool down is <= to 15 then set an event that every 1 second subtract 1 from the global variable until it reaches 0 then you can re use the ability.

    I'm currently coming up to the final stages of a game that I've been working on. Due to the company I work for I will be unable to post the capx of the file I am working on.

    Instead I have provided a new capx with the problem I am having.

    File I have made containing the issue

    My question is how do I get the facebook API to respond so the user has to log in so I can post there high scores on there walls?

  • Don't know if this is just me, or if I'm just doing something wrong but my autosaves in Construct have stopped working.

    Last time they were working was in r100.

    Current version r103.1

    Autosave 1 - dropbox\backup1 - every 15 mins

    Autosave 2 - dropbox\backup2 - every 30 mins

    Autosave 3 - desktop\backup - every 15 mins

    Autosave is enabled, I have deleted the file location and readded and relinked Construct to the new file destination and I have tried changing how often it should Autosave.

    Construct now only saves an Autosave in these folders when I click the save button.

    Am I doing something wrong or is this a problem with Construct?

    Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

    Need to alter the limitation a little for the perfect effect but I can't thank you enough.

    3 days of struggling and in less then 30 seconds I can see it working like a dream.

  • From my own experience

    Start of layout - Code that is entered before the game loads on screen

    On end of layout - Code that is run as the layout is ending and loading another layout or re-starting of layout

    On loading finished - Code that runs when sprites etc have all loaded.

    I'd guess the screen size and window size would be modified on Start of Layout.

  • I since edited the joints so that they now correctly link together

    I'm now just struggling to stop the Magnet (Attached to rope, attached to helicopter) from being able to spin all the way round.

    I tried a limited revolute joint but that just seemed to cause the magnet to bug between odd positions that I didn't set.

    Thanks for the example, its not far off what I'm hoping to achieve but the hook of your rope is attached to a static object whereas mine is controlled by the player.

  • Come on guys, please. This has me really stumped, a link or anything to a solution would be ideal.

    I don't expect this done for me, just need some advice in the right direction

  • Another simple idea to try and achieve what your after could be Overlapping at offset option.

    You might be able to achieve the effect you desire using this option rather then a normal overlap?
