  • So I'm writing a book on making games, and I need to write a list of what ever platform game needs. But I have a problem, I can't think of much else to add to my list. My list consists of:

    PLAYER

    Movement

    Controls

    Health

    Health Bar

    Dying

    Attack

    Animations

    Lives system

    Game over

    Enemies

    Movement

    Health

    Health Bar

    Dying

    Attack

    Animations

    Hazards/Platforms

    Spikes/Other things

    Moving Platforms

    Destructible items

    Thing that spawns other objects

    Bouncy Object (Spring, etc.)

    Moving platform/ Hazard

    Falling Platform

So what else does my list need? I thank anyone that would like to help me out.

  • I dont know if its possible in construct 2, but you could set up some kind of website or public file hosting service where people can upload there creations as saves. Like you could save a creation and then upload the exe file with the save on it to the service.

  • Yes you can! It depends on what you would want to do. A controller based one is very easy, but a drag and drop one would be a little harder. The main problem is the complexity. drive.google.com/open There is a controller based one I made. And here's a mouse based one. drive.google.com/open

  • Hello, I am Ashton Arnold of Retrocade Media, and I have been using Construct 2 for about 6 years now. Recently I purchased the full version and have been enjoying the freedom that it gives me. I originally found Construct 2 while searching for game creators on google, and was ecstatic when I found this.
