  • This is how I did it:

    1) Give your player object an instance variable called "dash" and set it to 1

    2) On the event sheet, do something like this:

    + dash > 0

    • player - subtract 1 from dash // this prevents the player from dashing every time he pushes the button
    • player - set vector y to 0
    • player - set gravity to 0
    • player - set maximum speed to 1000
    • player - set acceleration to 8000
    • wait 0.25 seconds
    • player - set gravity to original gravity value
    • player - set maximum speed to original maximum speed value
    • player - set acceleration to original acceleration value

Change the numbers in bold to fit your game.

    Worked pretty well for me.

I've been back and forth with that project... I decided to not only make an engine, but a nice remake of Mega Man 2 (my favorite of the classic series right behing Mega Man 9) with a few tweaks from myself. Problem is, real life is always in the way, and I have more than one project going on at the same time. Maybe on summer vacation (end of the year for me) I'll have more time to update that project. I surely hope so!

Anyway, the link for the forum post is this (The game demo is on Scirra Arcade too, but it's too small). Thanks for caring!

  • I like it!

  • blackhornet

Oh, now I feel stupid. xD

    Thanks dude! o/

Since you use normal fonts, could you make it possible to use characters like , , , , , , etc? I know english doesn't use it but other languages does - like portuguese and spanish.

    Thanks in advance =)

  • This looks cool! Is there any C2 game there yet?

  • Hey everyone!

The creator of this awesome software called Sprite Lamp just posted about in a facebook group about his upcoming kickstarter and talked a little about it's software.

Basically, you can create dinamic shadows for 2d sprites, and it looks pretty nifty.

This a image found on his website, http://www.spritelamp.com/

    So, what do you think?

  • NEW UPDATE!

A lot of changes were made, please check page 1 for details.

  • I am having a Java problem on CocoonJS export, something about it not installed in my computer depite the fact that, well, it is. But works just fine on my phone.

  • r144.2 is out and probably fixing everything!

    Downloading now =)

  • So I have this project that was working 100% on Ludei's CocoonJS Launcher for testing, but now with release 144 none of my projects work there. All I have is a black screen and the FPS bar, that shows stuff like 90fps.

Is anyone else having this problem?

    Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I guess you forgot to put the link xD

This is exactly what I meant by "other projects". I have tons of ideas, but close to no free time xD

Thanks for your comments, they really motivate me to keep going, even though I never posted any finished game on the arcade :)

  • wii07 No it's not dead! There was some changes around, but I'm still working on this. It's just that there are some other projects I'm working on and real life really gets in the way of things...

    thehorseman007 Thanks dude, really!
