    Wouldn't mind paying for occasional updates (but not 100$ every year)

    I want to be the owner of my license and be in control.

  • 1. Subscription for those that need Online Services

    2.a One Time Payement for those that do not

    2.b Update packages that need to be payed for but are not mandatory. I don't think there would be a lot of complainments if people can choose if and when they buy updates as long as the price isn't crazy high.

  • I'm tinkering around with Layer Effects and thought it would be a nice feature if it was possible to bypass effects via a small checkmark within the layer properties window. Because that way, effect settings are not lost.

    How are the text instances connected to the sprite instances ?!

    I would like to be able to filter out items of certain categories, for example music or games.

  • You can easily make pdf files of the manual yourself with Libre Office. Just open the html file and export it as pdf. Takes just a few clicks and seconds !

    All you need to do is to unzip the files to wherever you like and then double-click the capx file.

    full NLE's such as Adobe Premiere which I'm not looking for.

  • The version on steam does offer support for future updates.

    The version on your website only offers free updates for 6(!) months.

  • Thanks for chiming in guys. I think I'm going to buy a license of TimelineFX this month as it seems to fit my demands very well.

    I did some research and found a few things I want to share:

    There is another Particle Emitter called Particle Illusion http://www.wondertouch.com

    However it seems that it does not get any updates anymore and it's pretty expensive.

    Then there is Popcorn FX. The editor is free but does not support any rendering as far as I know.

    It's very powerful but you need to bake your stuff and then plug it into either

    Unity or Unreal Engine. To do so you must buy licenses http://www.popcornfx.com/pricing/
