  • What exactly are you trying to do? The pin behavior will pin a object to another object position,

So it seems to be working just fine, what do you expect to happen?

  • Yes! That's correct! 0 is right, that is what I was trying to say. I confused left with right... LOL sorry about that

  • Add to the turret the LOS behavior. Set it to spaw a projectile only once for each enemy in range that does not have the spider over it.

Just write the events just like you told us you want them and it should work

  • You don't need to add a event for that. Just add the solid behavior to both player and wall sprite and they won't move past each other.

If you set both behaviors and it's still not working try cheking if the player is not moving too fast. Moving too many pixels per second may make the player pass through thin objects.

But if you try all this and it's still not workig try to upload your .capx file so qe can take a better look on what you're doing

  • Try setting the side of the ship as the front of the sprite o-o

Not a good idea, but I would try it. I'll give it some thought, if I figure something out I'll send you a .capx

  • Yeah, I would like to know that too. A plugin for that perhaps? I don't know

  • Every object you create on the layout has a collision box, you can edit the size and shape of the collision box of the sprite objects.

You use collisions to trigger events. Enemy on collision with player triggers damage.. or anything like that.

    Try reading the manual: https://www.scirra.com/manual/121/event-sheets

  • I'm not able to answer you, because I have the same doubt. although I always worked with the animations exactly like this.

There is a hierarchy between the animations which few animations have preference to play before others, like taking damage or attacking should not be playing in order to walk animation to play.

I can't tell you if this is right or wrong, or if it's the best way to do it. But I can tell you that I work just like this and I never had problems with this.

So if anyone has a better way of handling this whole thing I would be glad to know it to.

    So.... UP!

  • Add to the object the "Wrap" behavior.

  • Have you tried increasing the size of the trail maybe?

I don't really understand what's going wrong in your game

  • Is there any deadline for the results of the Deception Jam?

  • I'm not quite sure. But i think you should try saving the variable only after setting it's value.

  • Looks awesome!! I wanna play it!

  • The problem might be either the area of the collision box, or the origin point.

Both collision box and origin point can set different for each frame of the animation allowing you to create several kinds of effects on your game. However if you do not pay attention to this details it can make your game act completely weird.

Both collision box and origin point can be edited at the sprite animation window. And if you use the right click you can apply the same collision box or origin point to all the frames saving you a lot of time.

    Hope it helps
