  • Has anyone taken this and improved it? I would love to see your results..

  • Well it took me a few goes to work out what to do.

    Very professional looking game.

Only tried it up to now with pc/mouse - I will try to have a go later on ipad (assuming the demo uses touch ?)

1 1/2 beards made me smile - cool name. But what do you have against clowns ?

  • How frustrating - but in a good way.

    "One more go !"

  • What a good idea and it looks very good.

Can you post a link to the demo ?

Have you thought of zooming out when the "ball" is moving fast to see a bigger area ?

good luck with finding a sponsor.

  • By the graphics I would guess it is aimed at younger players than myself - which also makes them better players !

For me to progress any further than I did in my attempts would require the jump button moved to maybe space bar ?

Nice "one more go game" .

    Good luck.

  • I would like to see this if you can re-upload it, please ?

  • Only played for a few minutes so this is first impressions only.

Nice graphics and sound. Liked the download screen. Might need to ease player in with an easier start ? Have a look at turning player character to face the same way as her arm ? (there is a mirror or flip command to do this)

    Good luck

  • Along similar lines...

    May I present

"The game where you click to send a missile to kill an alien who , for some reason, is trying to get over there..."

(Thinking up cool names is not one of my strong points)

In this version of you control a missile that does not come from the space armament factories of Saturn Five but , more correctly, the right side of the screen...

This not so smart missile always tries to head towards your left clicked mouse .

A speed boost can be used by right clicking - unfortunately this does rather mess up the guidance system ...

Avoid the rocks ... survive as long as possible ... Stop the evil aliens from getting past our defences.

As always - lots of things to add, levels, sound, gameplay, et cetera

    Demo

"The game where you click to send a missile to kill an alien who , for some reason, is trying to get over there..."

  • Having the attention span of the average 5 year old on a sugar rush, this is as far as I have got with my version of "Missile Command"

Fire missiles from three bases using left/middle/right mouse clicks.

Missile explode where you sent them if they do not hit anything on the way - allows you to fire a line of them to set up a wall !

Missile bases slowly regain missiles over time.

Game over when all three bases are destroyed.

Rocks have a chance to also explode that can set off a chain reaction...

Lots of things to add - sound, levels , cities to defend, alien space craft, high scores, et cetera.

I intend to return to this "soon" - providing nothing shiny distracts me for too long.

  • To be honest it was more accident than design.<img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I've only had C2 for a short time and I am just playing around with different ideas trying to learn and find my way.

This started out as dots (sprites) moving toward where ever I touched the screen. The sprites had random speeds and constantly corrected their direction by rotate towards position. Just altering their speeds and angle they changed direction by gave some pleasing effects ...

  • Thanks for the comments.

I've added a couple of improvements (control the speed of the "lights" and the rate they turn at) which I will try to upload tomorrow.

  • RamPackWobble you only added some function when you click a block while is falling, it doesn't destroy.

? Works here on a pc and ipad - could you try again and let me know what you are running on ? the aliens are smaller than the earlier version in a grid of about 18 X 12 with a FPS display in top left ?

The ideas of using a plug in sounds good - but I've never tried any extra plugins yet (still trying to learn my way around the basic program...)

  • much easier in another program (photoshop / gimp / etc) but if you rectangle select   from the very top of top the image to above where you want to keep (also all the way from the left to the right of the image) then hit delete on keyboard it will remove the unwanted area. Then press the crop transparent edges button. Repeat for the bottom, left and right unwanted areas.

Hope this makes some sense ?
