  • Problem Description

There is a bug I'm experiencing inside the editor of Construct 2 in Windows 7 (64 bit). The problem is that whenever I attempt to create a new event inside the event sheet the subsequent window will not appear, however Construct 2 will run as if it has appeared and awaits my "response". I have tried every method of creating an event, I have tried re-installing Construct 2 repeatedly and have updated to a new version (from r227 to r233) however none of these methods have fixed the issue. This issue consistently occurs no matter the project I attempt to open or "create a new project".

    Attach a Capx

This problem is not project specific but is a bug within the Construct 2 editor itself.

    Description of Capx

This problem is not project specific but is a bug within the Construct 2 editor itself.

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Step 1 - Open Construct 2 editor.
    • Step 2 - Create empty project (or open existing, it doesn't matter).
    • Step 3 - Go into the "Event sheet" tab.
    • Step 4 - Click on "Add event" (or double click the empty space or right click and select "Add event")
    • Step 5 - Event window will not appear, Construct 2 editor will "freeze" until shut down by task manager in microsoft windows.

    Observed Result

Construct 2 editor will "freeze" and act as if the window has been displayed and awaits the response from the window. However since window does not appear, the editor simply waits in a suspended state.

    Expected Result

The Event window would appear, and thus I would be able to create/add new events.
