    That would require literally hundreds (if not thousands) of pre-drawn sprites for each image that could be cut.

    I think what hes trying to say is use 2 sprites. One for a full fruit, and one for a halved fruit, then just have it set that halved sprite depending on the angle you swiped, using x,y coords. like x250,y250 to x172,y120 would create a straight angled line from A to B. I hope you find what youre looking for anyway

  • Hey guys not played with construct 2 for a long time but since getting a newer stable version im back at it. What im after doing is making some fun games based on the controls of paper toss, or more so "throw the knife" if you have played this.

    (2nd post and both about knives, no im not a serial killer, just have a fondness for tongue in cheek)

    I want to have my scene like looking from a first person view, with a target, and when the finger is swiped, depending on the angle of the swipe, the knife/axe/shuriken will appear from there, and stick into the target at the point the swipe was ended, if that makes sense. So if i swipe from the bottom to the centre, my projectile will appear on a straight vertical angle. If i swipe horizontally, it comes in horizontally.

    Thanks in advance for any help peeps, appreciate it.

  • Hey signal jacker this is possibly the latest reply you have ever had but i wanted to say thanks for the info and the demo for this. I worked on this project for a little while and it turned out quite funny, then the laptop died and ive not salvaged it from my hard drive yet. But thanks again dude

  • do you per chance mean "set immovable"? as im playing with this and it seems to be what im looking for, just need to reset it afterwards =]

  • Thanks for the speedy reply dude, yeah i read this in another post, as im an absolute noob to the layout, i cant seem to locate the option to set physics to disabled? :P

    Also i did factor in the fact that it is indiscriminate on which side hits, i assume i could pin the physics part of the "blade" to a solid "handle" ?? im totally not sure, ive been playing with construct 2 for a few days and im still grasping basics.

  • Ok firstly please excuse me if this has already been posted but i cant for the life of me find an instance of it.

    My question is as follows;

    If i have a 'catapult' this is to say, a launcher, and my object launched is a sprite with physics, this being a knife, how would i get this knife, upon coming into contact with a target, to stick in at the angle of contact?

    Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance =]
