  • Definitely participating. Last time I had internet issues when it came to voting, so I was unable to play others' games and my game went unranked, unfortunately. This time round I intend to play as many entries as I can, so here's hoping for an interesting theme!

Also, should this topic be in the Game Development forum?

  • Talk about the last minute.

    Play my entry here!

    Any feedback is appreciated.

  • Yep ok, granted you'll need to place something first. My mind is on the Ludum Dare. =]

Good to know it isn't just me though, thanks.

Ah, sorry, you're right. After selecting a tile you need to remove tiles from the layout. Didn't realize I'd forgotten that one. I've edited the post now.

  • Link to .capx file (required!):

    dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/86389468/bla/TileMapBug154.capx

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Open the tilemap bar.

    2. Select a tile.

    3. Remove a tile with right-click.

    4. Lock layer containing tilemap.

    5. Close tilemap bar.

    6. Click on the tilemap object in the layout window.

    Observed result:

    Construct 2 immediately crashes.

    Expected result:

    Construct 2 not to crash.

    Browsers affected:

    N/A

    Operating system & service pack:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Service Pack 1.

    Construct 2 version:

    Release 154 64-bit.

  • Yeah the site always goes down once it's announced, best to look for the theme on irc or twitter.

I'm not sure what to make of this one! Lots and lots of possibilities, but nothing that's piqued my interest yet.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • And go! The theme is: You Only Get One.

    Hmmmmmm.

  • Not long now! Theme voting has started, and I am making preparations for the weekend so as to ensure I can make a game uninterrupted. Looking forward to participating again!

  • +1, this would be a massive step towards making C2 a contender in regards to desktop game development.

  • It's been brought up multiple times, I think, and if I recall the answer was that Tom and Ashley are simply quite busy, considering that there's only 2 of them. It'd be nice to see the Kong plugin get some proper documentation, but we just need to be patient.

That said, I agree that there are probably people that would be willing to help if need be. Would that be an option, Ashley, or is that not the issue here?

  • Whew, done: here is my game.

Not the most original of concepts, but I'm happy with the results.

Now to get some much-needed sleep.

  • I'm doing pretty well. Had to cut a few ideas I wanted to get in the game out, but being overly ambitious for a 48 hour project is no surprise, haha. I've only got a few more hours worth of work before I start to get tired and the quality of my work sharply decreases.

  • Okay, first day almost over and the gameplay is almost ready. Just one or two more things to do and the game can be played functionally.

  • I'll be participating again, lots of fun the last couple of times.

It seems quite likely that 10 seconds will be the final theme, considering it dwarfed all the other themes in the first rounds. Maybe people will do something different for the last round, though.

  • Well, it's pretty clear that each time this issue is brought up, it's all about projects that have been open for long periods of time.
