  • Hi, I'm workin' on a puzzle game similar to columns and others and I need a 2D graphic designer and also a music/sounds composer.

In the game there is a 6x6 grid full of colored gems, touchin' a gem will trigger the color change (Red>Green>Blu>Yellow>Purple>Orange) and for each 3+ gems matched you gain points and "moves" . Each touch decrease the number of "moves" you have, there's also a timer, so you can't waste time thinkin' a lot about the next move, 'cause at 0 you lose 1 "move". There are also some power-ups,(increase/decrease timer and moves, change colors, etc.etc.)

I've planned 2 game mode, story and survival/infinite, the latter is 90% completed and playable. In both mode you have to choose 1 character from 6 (one for each color) and every character has 2 skills. A passive skill that doubles points from the same color gem (blu chara doubles pts from blue gems and so on..) and an active skill, but to activate this, you need to achieve a X number of gems from every color.

Once completed, I'm goin' to publish this on mobile and maybe Steam Greenlight with some changes.

So I need characters graphic (an idle stance with some minor animations) backgrounds, gems, menu with fonts and maybe some cutscenes (not sure about it).

I'm not goin' to ask work for free, but since it's my first experience, I'm not sure about how to manage this.

We can have an agree about the payment:

    1) retribution for the entire work (I hope it's not too much expensive <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> )

    2) a percentage of profits

Thanks for your attention and have a nice day!

PS: sorry for my bad english

PPS: sorry can't post images about the game (need reputation)

  • Hi, as Cocoon does not support AJAX, I'm havin' problems loading a json file imported in the project. Inside this json there is an array in which are stored tiles for a map of a dungeon crawler game. Any alternatives or suggestions?

  • Man, I owe you one! I was thinkin' about it for 2 days. Thanks a lot! :)

  • I've read the post about "fancy lifebar" and it's working very well with one color bar or vertical gradient bar (as seen in the post: cyan on top and dark cyan on bottom), but what about an horizontal gradient like Street Fighter bar? (red on the left and yellow on the right)

Using hints in that post, the bar resize itself and so the gradient, because I'm using a sprite already with the gradient (done in paint shop pro).

Last but not least, the bottom layer of the bar is a transparent grid as in the "fancy lifebar" post.

Anyone has an idea about this? My head is blowin' :D

  • Hi, I'm Giuseppe (Joseph) from Italy. I've spent most of my life with every sort of pc (Sinclair Zx, C64..) and consoles (Nes, Genesis, Snes..) The first time I made somethin' was on Commodore Amiga 500 using AMOS programming language followed by other like Dark Basic on Pc. In 2011/2012 I've tried with Torque2D and other engines and early December I've read about Construct 2 on a forum so... now I'm tryin' to finalize a little game with Construct 2. Soon I'll post somethin' about it :)

    That's all folks! :)

Edit: sorry for my bad english :P
