  • I've got stucked with my project. I want to create inventory, where player would be able to pick items, and their graphic representations will be shown in inventory.

    I created placeholders for items, they are all the same sprite (inventory_slot) but with different names (slot1, slot2 etc.). I've got fucntion that selects slot to put item and then puts it into that slot. Problem shows when I try to load image from given url - it loads image to all instances of inventory_slot. Here's a screen how it looks:

    <img src="http://screenshooter.net/data/uploads/ai/eu/tqbj.jpg" border="0" />

    <img src="http://screenshooter.net/data/uploads/by/fg/kjxv.jpg" border="0" />

    Can I load image to one instance of sprite only? If not, maybe there is another way to create items in inventory dynamically?

  • Hi All.

    I've finished my game at last. You can play it at host9.office.crystalvision.pl or download at host9.office.crystalvision.pl/scrap-win32.zip. It's first game that I've made totally by myself. Feel free to download and share some thoughts about it.

    I also struggled with animation, and I thought that mine were good, but players can be merciless :). Finally, we had to pay someone to do it right. Well, nobody can be good at everything.

    You also are right, that you can't have everything. Some glitches won't be some important, if overall experience will be great, I think. Your game looks promising, art is very nice, and main character looks great. Plus I love horror themes - I'll be tracking your progress definatelly.

  • Sorry to say that, but yout walking cycle looks unnatural. It has visible glitches, and looks like robot walk - it's especially visible in the way that arm moves. Although, character itself looks great. What kind of sofware do you use for animation?

    Thanks. Graphics are mine. I'm designer and illustrator first of all, but I'm quite new to construct.

  • Ok, a screen to encourage you:

  • Hi all,

    I bought construct2 and improved game in the meantime.

    You can download it at the address: host9.office.crystalvision.pl/scrap-win32.zip.

    I exported it as standalone app, to avoid all different browser issues.

    Although, there is still much to do. I need to create menu UI, because it's just mockup right now. There are also some sounds to do, some backgrounds and more assets for environment. I also plan to create introduction at the beginning of level, that will explain all new gameplay features.

  • Strange, it weighs about 2 megabytes. Maybe it's because i put it on my local host. Does it not load or deas the game itself run slowly?

  • Hi all,

    I'm kinda new to construct and I started to playing with it.

    I'm graphic designer and illustrator, and I work professionally from about 5 years, but I'm new to gamedev. I have some (very small) programming knowledge.

    I'd like to share my latest creation. You can check it at host9.office.crystalvision.pl It's rough, but it's playable. It has only one level for now. Controls: srrows for move, ctrl for shoot.

    I'd appreciate any feedback.
