  • Check the origin of the animation-frames, sounds like that's your problem..

Actually seeing the picture it is the problem.

In the image editor go to the bottom left to set the imagepoints and right clicking that dialog should bring up a menu with quick assign..

Thank you!! I tried to manually assign the Image Points but I guess I was just missing it somehow. Quick assign did the trick!

  • I have an animation that jumps really far from one frame to the next. The animation cells both read 32x32 but they act like they are so far apart when it runs.

I know it's probably something simple but I just cant figure it out.

  • Wow, you're a genius! or I am incredibly dumb. either way it works perfectly now. Thank you!

  • I have a sound that plays when you win a level (Score 10 points)

The sound does play but it sounds horrible. It sounds like somebody is rapidly tapping a symbol on top of the music. After testing I found out it only happens when it is an action under the condition of currentScore = 10. In other words if I play it anywhere else in the game it works just fine.

Also it does technically work as an action where it is but only after the "Wait 6 seconds" action, not before it.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT 1: I have disabled all other game sounds during testing but the problem persisted.

EDIT 2: I have also disabled every other action prior to "Wait 6 seconds" to see if it somehow had any effect and it does not.

  • Ahh much thanks! Its funny how you can overlook something so obvious without having a second person point it out.

  • I am building a game that spawns an Asteroid every X seconds. My question is how do I stop that event from happening once my player dies so the screen doesn't fill up with Asteroids causing a tax on the memory and crashing the game?

  • maybe because it has solid behavior.

You were right! I was under the false assumption that an object needed to have the solid property to collide but I guess not. Thank you both for your ideas!

  • I have an issue I cant seem to stop from happening. In my game a ship is firing a bullet. For some reason when it fires the bullet the ship sprite jumps back.

This didn't always happen using the same logic for the mouse click so I am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.
