  • OddConfection Thank you. The greenlight process, I don't know where to begin with that. I'm not even sure how to get the game greenlit. Super Ubie Land is on steam. Up Up Ubie Remix will probably not be on steam.

The name is Ubie, I just haven't updated the in-game menu options yet.

The PC gaming world seems to be a pretty tough nut to crack. But still creating

  • I am remaking my first game, Up Up Ubi. It is now Up Up Ubie REMIX.

The game is being created from scratch in Construct 2 and I am adding more levels, new music, new characters to unlock, changing gameplay rules, etc.

This game is still a work in progress, this video represents 3 days of work put into the game. I'll share progress as I go.

Here is the original game for comparison

  • At the end of the day, it all boils down to preference and what you are targeting. I've made several games with both C2 and native and I prefer C2. It's quicker in my opinion and it allows me to do everything that I want it to do. If there's something that I "couldnt" do, I usually later found a workaround.

  • my games may not be the best looking but i am happy with the look

  • It's been a while since I've posted on here. I've finally gotten out of my little apartment and into a studio space

Team Notion's development is being documented in EVERY issue of Pure Nintendo magazine. It's pretty amazing to have the project in each issue til completion.

The game has also found it's final form... a 2d beat em up metroidvania. Story is mostly written out and things are moving along nicely.

  • Pure Nintendo magazine and Notion Games LLC are teaming up to bring you the Team Notion exclusive developer diary! • Hey! Notion Games, how did you design the graphic or background of this game, this was a cool game. But can you please tell me?? <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I pretty much hand draw the assets, save them out as PNGs and place them in the game. Each tree is an individual sprite. Same with the clouds, etc.

The video I posted is showing my digital art but it's the same for when i make the game except it's drawn on paper. Here's the process I used to make this cartoon network poster. It's the exact same process I use to make my game assets.

  • Hey guys, I have a question. I'm really thinking about the cartoon aspect of Team Notion, and trying to get the games we make a bigger audience (we do need to eat haha). So, I am wondering about rehauling Team Notion the game as a whole. I redesigned Sandy with a more "edgy" design.

Please let me know your thoughts on this. Should I stick with my gut and go with the fun cartoony style of the current version, or the more "cool" feeling style of an older Sandy? (Sandy is 10 in the cartoon version and she is 17 in the newer version)

  • TiAm Thanks a lot! We were actually up last night trying to figure things out with the whole process. It sucks because I cannot say much at all about it becase of the NDA. But we are toying around with it to see how things work on it. I'll release more information as video gameplay to show an example of things that work later on.

Rhindon thank you sir! That means a lot to us because we are working hard to bring you something that we hope you guys will enjoy :)

  • Nothing wrong about this practice. I had Notion for a couple of years before ever paying to make it an LLC. It creates a name for any of the projects regardless of who is or isn't apart of the creation process.
