• Welcome to Scirra.

Could you tell me what the actions and conditions of the event that switches layout are? Or save your project as a single file, upload your .capx file to dropbox, and paste the public link here.

  • Just click where it says "Yes", in the "Bounce off Solids" parameter and select "No".

  • There is an option for this in the physics behaviour, although it seemed pretty buggy when I tried it a few months ago. Seems fine now though, will that do the trick?

    Made a quick test:Solid_OnlyCertainChars.capx

  • I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to do with the "BoisH" object, where do you want the player to put it, and when do you want it to not be possible? And what object or position does it have to be in range of?

  • Try Construct 3

  • You want to check the distance between the instance variables and the object you are dragging, so you should probably use PositionX and PositionY instead of MConstructionSuite.ImagepointX(2) and ...Y(2) in the distance expression.

  • R0J0hound helped me out with reflective lasers some time ago, maybe this example can help you too?

  • I made an example for you using the distance expression, and some instance variables:

    DragDrop_CheckRange (r92)

  • I made some changes to your .capx, mainly using instance booleans and some extra sprite objects, hope you find it helpful. The containers don't collide while you're pulling them now, but you can probably figure that out yourself.

  • Dictionary was introduced in r91, so not a lot of documentation out yet. There are some details in the release notes.

  • Would it be too much work to recreate just the problem bit in a new .capx? If it is, I can install the plugins and look at the project, but I'd rather not. It's a lot easier to navigate through an example than a whole project anyway.

  • Works now, but you seem to be using a third-party plugin "OR" so I can't open the file. If you can describe how you make the tank move, or reupload the file without the plugin, I can still try to help.

  • Great tutorial kittiewan, a lot of people will probably find this useful!

  • he file you are looking for has been deleted or moved.

I'll have a look at your project if you update the link.

  • Yeah, I updated the example to not just keep spawning text, didn't notice yesterday. I could take a look, sure, as long as there are no plugins or anything.

  • ick Nth instance

Pick the instance at a given place in the internal list of picked objects. This is most useful used in sub-events to act on separate instances. For example, in a "Sprite collided with Sprite" event, Pick 0th instance and Pick 1st instance can be used to act on each instance involved in the collision separately.

If all objects are currently picked, this condition can also be used to pick an object by its index ID (IID). For more information, see common features.

From the manual. Maybe you use it like in the first example, but mean to use it like in the second?
