  • In my game, I want this text to be turned to Visible if my hero overlaps with an object.

    It's a message sign, so when the hero walks over it, a message is displayed.

    How do I do this? I've tried a lot of different things.

  • I don't feel comfortable here unless you show us proof of your knowledge, license, etc.

    One does not simply create a scirra account and ask everyone to join a team with no backup information.

    Basically, what he's saying is that you should start simple, then start adding to your game as you go along. This is actually a very good method to game development. You will get confused if you try to do everything at once. Always start with simplicity.

  • I don't think major developers would mind if a small time developer used some of their characters.

    There would only be implications if you started selling your game. When you start making money, thats when they get angry.

    Otherwise, you should be fine. Also make sure to credit them for the character concept.

  • You could have a collision event on shield that destroys the enemy before it hits the player.

    If Shield collides enemy > destroy enemy

    Something like that should solve your problem!

  • A while back I did the Ghost-Hunter game tutorial, and now I want to add a raining/stormy environment.

    I've seen tutorials done for platformer-type games, but I still don't know how to make rain fall when the game is birdseye view oriented.

    Any tips?

  • I definitely hate doing the graphics/music, I'm really bad with them xD. Programming is fine though.
