  • I am trying to do gravity flipping when pressing space. I created a variable called FlipGracity and gave it value 0 or 1. 0 will make the player fall down and 1 fall up. I can only make the character fall up when pressing space. However when i copy the event again and change the variable, the character couldn't fall up or down.

    It only works if i use different keys, like space for falling up and z for falling down.

  • Are you moving the sprite with Bullet behavior?

    If yes, disable "Set angle" in Bullet settings.

    Then use Bullet->Set angle of motion -> Angle (sprite.x, sprite.y, destination.x, destination.y)

    Thank you for your code, I can finally make it done. I was about to make a platformer and when a player collects a coin, the coin fly to the right top of the layout, therefore makes an effect like the player is collecting something.

    It seemed like I have used inappropriate action to accomplish it. I used action like "move forward" and "set angle toward position". I think I need to learn the built-in function, it's very helpful

  • Hi guys, I was trying to make a simple effect which move the coins sprite to a point without rotating its own angle. I did this with set angle towards position but it just rotate the angle of the sprite and move the sprite towards the point. Is there any way I can do it without rotating the sprite?

  • Let's say I want to make my sprite scale getting larger by calling a function.

    I know that I can just simply set my sprite's scale to current scale plus one, but what if i have three different sprites that can use the same function? How do I achieve it in my code?

  • I am making a platformer by following Jerementor guides. Below link is the part I am currently doing. However, when my character is facing right and I press space + right arrow key + up arrow key, my character can dash and jump. But while I am facing left and do the same thing, my character can't jump while dashing to left.

    I think he means the player moves in a tile way. Like the rpg maker character moves which the character moves from one tile to one tile not free movement.

    If I want to move my player sprite when I touch on the screen how do I do that?? The drag and drop behaviour only apply when you touch on the player sprite.

  • I downloaded the version that Lordshiva made and don't see any problem, it works fine. Have you tried to preview it in Nodewebkit instead?

    the bullets work fine, but I was talking about the movement of the ship.. I get stuck when two keys trigger at one time...

  • Hi, guys.. I am a newbie to construct 2.. I have watched some tutorials about space shooter.. I have a few question to ask, hope I can find answers..

    First, I want to spawn bullets from my ship, so I have created an event to spawn it. But the angle seems a little bit weird. My project is vertical scrolling but the bullets keep moving right. And then I found this, . The author used a trick which is set angle to 270 degree, but it didnt work for me, until I rotated 90 degrees on it and then it worked.. I can't understand the theory of it.. I understand the X and Y axis and also angles in mathematics, but in construct 2 it seems different..

    Second, I wanted to spawn bullet from ship's image point and I succeed. It shoots when I press CTRL, but when I am pressing CTRL and I also wanted it to move left, it didn't move. When I released CTRL then it can move.. I wonder whats happening to my event system, did I make a mistake?
