    i have this events to set a minimum of 3 characters length and a maximum of 15

    the thing is that i dont want to have Spaces, is there a way to block it? even if someone Paste a string with Spaces on it? or to not count the Blank Spaces as a char?

    what im trying to do is to verify the textbox has more than 3 characters but i dont want to count the blank spaces...

    any ideas?

    i want to get a single value to set in a Global Variable in my project from a specific field from my mysql database

    i cant use MySql directly in Construct 2? so i need to use an external PHP file with the query on it?

    ie.

    • I want to select the last Score saved:

    SELECT * FROM scores ORDER BY points DESC Limit 1

    and i want to save that value into a Global Variable called LastScore...

    how can i do that?

    i dont understood very well how AJAX.LastData works :S

    i dont want to use the values ingame, i just wonder if there's a way to set the numerical values of the Position and Size of Sprite in the current Layout...not in game expressions.

    like the pic, send the values automatically to the window...not write it manually

  • Hi...in the events/actions im resizing and moving a lot of sprites from one spot to another, is there a way to set the Size and Position automatically based on the actual Sprites Sizes / position?

    i mean a faster way to set those values without selecting each sprite and setting it manually ie. Sprite.Width but numerical (450) | Sprite.Height (100) instead of that Expression...just wondering

  • thx for reply...im planning to add like 100 shapes with their respective polygons points so lets say i use 10 points for each advanced shapes...

    the method i display them are just moving from down the layout to the "Visible" layout, so they are created from the beggining, im just moving they like i said...this could drop some performance to the game? the graphics are simple as the one you see in the first message...

    that will be the easy way to show every shape i need...but i think it will be better to Create the Objects when i really need it right? adding them as an Event/Action...

    i think you know better options to add my objects to the game without losing performance...Note: All the objects has the same Behaviors/Effects...they only change their Shape and Position

    any help would be great thx for reading

  • Hi guys, i need to use Rounded Shapes for Collisions, what is the best way to set the Collisions Polygon to rounded shapes...i tried the normal way but it says i should not pass from 8 Polygon Points...

  • i think we have all the tools to make some money from our games...but if you focus in just making money from the start, your game should looks better or exactly like the ones you mentioned or you will not get the bucks like the big guys

    ...and then think about the bucks... and how to monetize your game... the big guys have thousands for Marketing...

    how i can make that comparison as an ACTION?

    When i try to set an Action i cant see the "Compare Variable" option...as you can see in the pic, i can do it but in a Event level...

    i need to know what you did...i have a GLOBAL Variable "HIGHSCORE" and i want to use that VAR as a Savegame Score so after you restart the game, it shows the previous HighScore...but i dont know how to...

  • this is what i done...just for test purpose...for the overlaping Edges when coming from another angle/side ill be looking the solution for that,to make the "hole effect" around in 360 degrees no matter where it comes from

    but how about if the ball comes from the bottom? I think i would need to invert the trick and put another "invisible" sprite at the top...so to make the trick then i need to get where from is coming the ball, if from the top or bottom, and finally applying the z-order to the respective bottom/top sprite...

    and when the ball complete overlaps that invisible sprite, destroy it or make it spawn in other location as a Portal game hehe, i will post a capx later

  • Hi guys, i have 2 sprites, the ball has the Physics behavior just to fall into the green hole Sprite...

    So i dont know how to make the "going through the hole" effect... like this

    I dont want it to make disappear the Ball when it overlaps the Green Hole, i want to make the effect like shown in the picture, how i can make this possible? i couldnt find anything related to this in the tutorials or manual

    maybe you know the logic / trick to make that effect with these 2 sprites let me know how to
