  • Got 13 point, nice idea!

  • So all the users in scirra are over 18?

But unfortunately I guess im the only one who is under 18!

  • thanks for clearing things out, and yes I know I'm young but I got great potential, finding developers my age is difficult since I'm the only game developer in my country Lebanon, which make it difficult. and yeah, don't get shocked I'm the only one who cares!

alvarop yes I know adults have responsibilties & families but I was looking for people who are young like me to work, but I see I'm the only one who is 14 in the site.

Beaverlicious do they even accept a 14 years old to join a team? I wish, if so I would join yours, you look like a nice person. If you know a team I would be glad, since I have skills in C2 & game development for 2 years, and I'm willing for 6 years or for life.

    thanks all for your replies

  • Thanks A0Nasser , I'm going to add more assets to the previous packs & add few new packs too.

  • Is all developers work for cash? I know there is hobbyists but are they also work for cash? I know main goal for pro developers is building a career & getting money from it, but what about a hobbyist? I wanted to build up a team but told me to add salary or hour rates, but if I work for free & publish free games, nobody will work then?

Thanks for taking time for reading & hope to reply to determine how to work myself out.

  • we are currently making free games, we just want to make games not gaining profit right now, but if later on we succeeded we could work on salary.

  • I've been working all by myself: I do my own graphics, make levels, create logic, create idea & concepts, search for music/sounds. Since I'm alone, I take a lot of time for making games. for example: Stupid Chickens 1 took me around 4-6 hours/ day for around 2-3 weeks and yet it too simple: ( around 30 levels & very easy puzzle levels that could be finished in around 1-2 hours only, excluding the bug/glitch that I haven't even fixed because I don't know how). I get around 10 negative rating for 1-2 positive one, and it is hard to do this alone. My main question is: can someone develop a successful medium-sized game alone?

  • In general, game development requires logic & creativity, but some people don't have much creativity and find it hard to make level design, game art, game-stories , scenarios, etc... on the other hand, other people find it hard to make logic, so they get stuck trying to figure thing out in general logic, game system, learn tutorials, so they take double-take to understand. as conclusion, both shortage in one area will lead delay in time of publishing game and slowing the process of game development. My point is: when there is shortage in either Logic or Creativity, which makes the most weakness point to a developer, that could lead him to get less attention and chances of making a good game?
