  • Thanks, that actually explains a lot about the structure.

  • Would this behavior still work if I was doing an auto runner style game? I think the preset movement of the player is messing with this suggestion.

  • Ok, I've been looking through the manual and browsing the forums but I'm still confused as to the purpose of putting an object in the scene.

My general issue with it is that at the start of the game, it messes with the player character right away despite setting it outside of the layer space (with destroy outside of layer turned on).

What I want to know is the proper etiquette to getting the object to work (it's suppose to be spawning an instance of the object on mouse click) when the spawn event occurs only.

  • This is a follow up to an older question, I tried tweaking the value but it doesn't have the right pull effect.

I thought of trying under pathfinding, drawing a straight line between the player object and the spawned instance of the other object but I'm still at a lose of how the movement actually takes place.

Simple visual for the desired behavior

  • You rock, thanks!

  • I'm trying to figure out how to pull the player character object towards a spawned from mouse click object.

Easiest way to visual - Spiderman fires his web at a building, he should be able to swing towards the impact point on the building itself.
