  • Hi there :D

I have some videos embedded from youtube in my game.

Using a laptop works just fine. After you klick or tap inside the game screen again, the game just moves on.

But with an iPad the player is litteraly stuck, cause appearently you can't get back into the game again and trigger anything that would close the iframe.

--> tab, space etc. just mess with the iframe like pausing or playing the video

But my construct event just wants you to press enter and it would close the iframe. But since you can't interact with the game after interacting with the video, you appear to be stuck...

Does anyone know how to fix that?

I am in huge trouble here... xD

Aaand I am making a educational game for my class, so just using a differend hardware is not an option...

    Thanks in advance!

  • That sounds lovely! Thanks a lot! :D

  • I am making a minigame inside my game, where you are attacked by enemies who spawn randomly on the layout at specific spawn points. Now I tried two different solutions:

    1. (Yellow solution) I let the system pick a spawn point randomly to spawn the enemy. Problem with that was, that the enemies sometimes spawn so close to you, you actually have no time to react an get hit. Not fun...

    2. (green solution) I always pick the spawn point furthest away from the player. The player must collect things on the layout anyway and therefore will move. Enemies mmight just spawn far away from him and thanks to their other behaviors they eventually reach player and attack. Problem is, too many spawn at the same point, forming clusters, game gets too easy, since they sort of attack in waves that are easy to handle.

I would like enemies to spawn on all the possible spawn points except for the closest to the player.

... but i am too dumb for that yet. Does someone see a way to insert that?

  • YEEEES! That is exactly what I was looking for!

Thank you very much! I can see how you did it, that's great!

    Thanks again! :D

  • aaand it might be that I don't got the setting correct for any of the solutions i tried. There are quite a lot of parameters to regulate and maybe i just could get them right?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hi everyone :D

I am only working with construct for about 3 weeks now and I am sorry if this question was answerd already elsewhere (didn't find it). Still hard time expressing my questions in a way so i find an answer xD (no native english...)

    anyway...

I am making an educational game inside a human body about digestion and i would like my insides to pulsate like a heartbeat. Is there a way to do that easily?

I tried sine behavior, warp object effect and pulse effect and they all look pretty cool, but not like a heart beat.

Does someone have a better idea?
