  • Hi Mike and Lucid.

I just wanted to say that I finally had some time to implement the suggested Custom Save Modifications and everything is working good. I am currently on:

    Spriter - b8 (05/09/14 build) Pro

Construct - r169 (unstable build) Personal

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Thanks!

  • Tom as always thanks for quick reply. This will be a big help/deal since it is actually the only thing people see when embedding the link in remote sites site. looking forward to site update!

I have noticed the same thing. Was wondering if you ever found more information in this topic?

  • thanks for posting I am having the same issue. I guess I will get ride of the fonts I am using and try to load them another way...

  • asgloki I like the motion of the tank, and its cannon. good job. I do feel the tank blends in a bit to much with the background. other minor stuff (since I know you are probably planning to update this) has to do with the instructions. I could not read them. I think making them white would help. good work so far...

I like that idea. The challenge would be similar to tetras, only you have to line up like colors. The challenge, I assume, is that as you progress you are given less time.

    Good stuff. Please post updates.

Cool man. A possible object might be to see how many like circles you can connect in a specific time frame (or before they make contact with walls, etc..). Perhaps by dragging - a mechanic you have already worked out...

Anyway look forward to seeing your next step.

  • I do not see to many posts of folks samples out here... I find myself more interested in these samples than the more fully developed stuff in the arcade. You have any games or samples I could take a look at?

BTW thanks for your feedback my friend.

  • It looks like the site50.net host might be doing some phishing... I have move Blue Boy to this much more reputable location out on Google Drive:

    https://googledrive.com/host/0B6Ec3mmaoJ-lbGJTbVZxWjJhdkU

Thanks RandomExile for letting me know.

Man I did not know that this hosting company I was using was doing phishing... Thanks for the heads up. I am going to research and probably move somewhere else. I will update link if I can change over.

Yeah frankly the blog is more for me to sort out what I am doing and track my efforts.

    thx!

  • In an effort to better flesh out the storyline for this game I have created a blog. Out on the blog I posted a description of the the story surrounding the main character Blue Boy:

  • Hello. Here is the training level for a 2d platform game I am working on. I really am starting to get use to the construct2 game engine, but have many essentials yet to work out. Here is link to game:

    BLUE BOY!!

Again I have much to sort out, but I have been working with construct for a few months now and have worked through some challenges so if you are a newbie like me, feel free to ask questions about how I got some of this stuff working.

  • Hi RamPack.

Thanks for reply and comment on graphic style. Yeah I got it working in a round about way. well by setting the edge markers to solid.

I am sure I will hit another hurdle soon enough, but just another opportunity for creativity I guess.

  • I have decided to attack this from a different angle and just make the edge markers solid. I will also make them opaque so player does not bump into them. I still have some transparent ones but I will place those against walls and such so as not to be in players way.

  • Hello.

Hopefully there is just something I am missing here but I have found that when following the platform tutorial (the jungle one) and implementing the enemy AI the enemy goes back and forth between the edge markers for the first few second but eventually goes beyond them.

You can watch this for a few moments to see what I am saying:

Here is the actual cap file:

As you will see from the capx the logic is pretty simple.
