    Ha yea it's more or less Spelunky style. I have a layout that I load all my different TMX files into, and then I export them as JSON files to an XML and put that into the project files. Then after the solution array finishes it's thing, it places levels onto a large corresponding tilemap object.

  • Wow, I like it! Bought it from the Store today Some stuff I was wondering....

    1. To make a new level, can I just duplicate an existing one and edit it? How do I then add the new level to the level select screen?

    2. Is it possible to have it so that the camera doesn't always follow where the player is facing? If you're just flipping the sprite and not really moving, it gets a bit jumpy (hope you understand what I mean

    I noticed that when you die, sometimes you can press the pause button and you get the pause window under the game over window.

    Those are great questions! Can I shoot you a PM? Also thanks for pointing out that oversight - I'll fix that in the next version, and I'm planning on fleshing out the documentation as well as the beefing up the level select screen so it's a BIT more automated.

  • Ribis I was thinking that, too. Why can't I just blast a demo out right to all my potential players? But then of course, the market will get pretty saturated with at some point and my feed will be filled with games..

  • This is pretty good, and with this you don't HAVE to limit yourself to a mario game, but any platformer really. Reminds me much of Wario Land.

    Thanks man. I sank many hours into my gameboy playing Wario Land, and I don't even think I ever actually owned it...

    I've been thinking of, along with the addition of other enemies, maybe changing up the main character sprite a bit to show that you don't necessarily need to lock yourself into mario. Right now though I'm working on pipe style warping, better documentation, and maybe some how-to videos. The warping is actually done, but I'm trying to figure out a way to make it more user friendly.

    With a world map? I started working on that and originally wanted to include it with this release. It's actually a pretty huge feature, so I'm not totally sure how to include it - maybe a separate download?

    I have a few enemies planned and some newer features like tunnel warping - what enemies were you hoping to see? Feel free to pm me if you want to talk personal customizations.
