  • My guess is because the plugin only supports the C2 runtime, not the C3 runtime.

If you switch to C2 runtime (advanced option of Project Properties) it will probably show up.

For Photon C3 runtime support check out this (paid) plugin collection: (the Playfab collection supports Photon Realtime and Photon Chat.)

    Master Collection

  • Another unsolicited good review of the Master Collection. This is a very useful set of tools with a good example for each plugin. I've been using it for Firebase and for Playfab and so far everything I want has been included and works well. The additions since my purchase have been really good too. As others say, great support from Discord and quick bug fixes when / if needed.

If you are working on a production level game - the ROI will be good if you need these features. Even if you are just doing C2/C3 as a hobby, think of it as spending $ to free up more of your hobby time for the part of game dev process that you really like. Unless of course, the part you like is making plugins for APIs!

  • Got it thanks. It's so useful, I'd hate to see it go away, glad to hear there is a solution (though not as compact as the current event/action of course.) As you say in the description if there's a decent amount of JS code behind each call, the overhead for adding params will be small.

I've been using it to test the GameSparks JS API with C3 runtime (since there's not a C3 runtime plugin) and it was so easy to get it up and running with your plugin!

  • valerypopoff - any thoughts on the future of this plugin and the vardic issue in C3? The plugin is so useful (thank you), but we hear chatter about vardic support being removed in C3, etc.

[SDK] Addon 'ValerypopoffJSPlugin' ACE 'compare-exec-return-with-parameters' uses "variadic" parameter which is not supported in the SDK. Only use supported parameter types in your addons. Please refer to the SDK documentation for supported types.

  • The source should be available soon (I asked jam mods to turn on the link)

    Try it out:

  • Another entry, I took my ZElevation tech demo and turned it into a game and got something kind of pretty with questionable gameplay, just as you might expect with that process! It was great to do a jam though, a short deadline and end up with a project that is DONE. Thanks to the organizers for running it.!

  • Using new Z elevation, made it simpler to 2.5D with characters, new test from first use of Z elevation (still must manually scale Hare and Trees based on Y, but Z and occlusion is based on Z elevation (and Z is set by Y in this case.)

  • Looks like fun - nice huge croc/alligator boss! Good luck w/ launch.

  • Thanks CJ !

Good suggestion on Mouselock and interpolation, I'll take a look at that.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Looks like fun, I like the background art style and it looks really responsive. The pixel particles on death feel out of place with the rest of the art style though. I agree with on the game length, unless it's just a demo (or on itch you could mark in development, with promise of more levels or features.)

I'm wondering if you want to add a sense of urgency w/ some kind of timer (in gameplay, e.g. flooding, impeding doom from creature or something company or via simple timer per level, with carry over time, e.g. like Marble Madness.)

Perhaps try out making the fireballs in the same color scheme as the layout and player (w/ perhaps more effects to make it obvious they are deadly). See what that looks like, I think it will look 'clean'.

Nice work, looking forward to seeing more.

  • If you are willing to pay for it, use Playfab and Playfab Master Collection plugin. I used it in a game, very simple and well done. Playfab is free up to 1K MAU, beyond that it's $. Master collection is $119.

  • Looks very nice, fun to watch the video, particularly the road and 'path' building. How do you expect it will be used? As a tool for RPG/strategy video games or for Pen and Paper RPGs?
