  • Thank you! You mentioned many interesting tips.

One thing new to me is CORS. I know it is needed for permissions on other domains, but why are they needed here? I could call FB Functions without any CORS so far.

  • Hello,

I managed to edit a TextInput CSS (thanks to selfCSS and stylinwithcss), but I hit a dead end with Sliderbars.

I tried to Set its CSS, but my changes have no effect. Tried setting "border-style" to "dashed", "border-color" to "#FF0000", "border-width" to "2px", but nothing happens.

Found this tutorial, but it uses properties inside other objects. I couldn't access them in C3.

Tried editing the page's source, I could edit some properties of the slider bar as a whole (only the border), but I couldn't change anything related to the handle and the object's appearance.

I am getting in deep front-end territory here :D

Ashley I understand it is not feasible to write a whole CSS reference, but a reference to the few important CSS properties should be enough for us :) The "Styling" section in the TextInput manual was pretty helpful, I wish I could find anything similar for slider bar / progress bar.

Please let me know if I am missing anything, I am a bit new to C3 CSS :)

  • As boybacteria said, the MobileAdvert plugin only works when in a "Mobile" export ( Android or iOS ). This is because it relies on native libraries which are unavailable as a web export.

We have had some requests in the past to show "test content" instead when using preview, but I think this will cause additional confusion for users who may expect it to work in web exports.

    Thank you.

It would actually be very helpful for adjusting the position of Ads. Sometimes we need to rearrange the layout a bit according to a ads position/size, and this requires some iterations (Change->Build->Test->Repeat).

Is it possible to show a white sprite with "PREVIEW AD. This Ad Will Work Only on MOBILE" message?

  • Update:

I managed to get to work in the preview mode by adding "preview.construct.net" and "construct.net" to the App Domains in Facebook Developer Console.

I still don't know if this will work when I export to Android, though. (the android phone is not available to me at the moment)..

  • Hello,

I have a project with MobileAdvert and 3 buttons. I followed the tutorial (https://www.construct.net/en/make-games/manuals/construct-3/plugin-reference/mobile-advert?utm_campaign=C3Editor&utm_source=browser&utm_medium=r136&utm_term=OpenManualLink&utm_content=PluginHelp) and made AdMob account with three ad units. I entered my Android app id (ca-app-pub-xxxxx~xxxxxxx), publisher ID (pub-xxxxxxx), and some website (https://www....com).

The MobileAdvert does not load when testing in browser. It shows the following errors: "advert plugin not loaded".

The first error shows at start (I am not calling MobileAdvert.Configure manually). The second shows when I click the button that loads the add. The "Can't load URL" error is related to Facebook in another issue (https://www.construct.net/en/forum/construct-3/general-discussion-7/facebook-cant-load-url-and-doe-142347)

  • Hello,

I added a Facebook component and set its App ID. I am getting this message when trying to login with Facebook:

"Can't load URL: The domain of this URL isn't included in the app's domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and sub-domains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings."

A Facebook popup shows when I call login, and it has this message. This happens on web, but on Android, Facebook OnReady didn't happen at all!

I didn't add any platforms yet in the Facebook Developer Console. I tried adding Android, but it requires extra information I don't know how to get in construct, like Class name and Key hashes.

    What am I missing, please?

    Thank you.
