    I would like to say sorry to anyone who had been hurt with my past post. I didn't ment to.

    However we all know thet as many people there is, there is as many opinions. It's hard to satisfy everyone. That's why I would be glad if dev team would send me a pm with the changes that they would me to do.

    Now about my layeout:

    Size of a banner is big because it's home page. banners on the subpages is going to be smaller and there will be collumn for the content. There will be a overview page done as well, in a unity grid fashion as Ashly pointed it out. I'll prepare them when i'll be off work.

    • Site must be written in decent XHTML and CSS in SEO fashin. Can be based on good template. NO FLASH SITES and links, but 1 flash banner with logo or advertisment is allowed.
    • NO PORN
    • It would be nice as well if person wouldn't mind linking to other users site as well, for good SEO.
    • If you planning to make some money via site we will have to work oput a mutual agreement.

    I was thinking is there anything i can do for the the creative part of the community. And so i decided i might give some hosting space and subdomain. At the moment got 25 accounts to give away. At start i'll offer 150MB of a free hosting space and a subdomain 'yourdomain.diycm.com' or/and 'yourdomain.diycm.co.uk' . We are running on win2003 dedicated server.

    I think it is a great opportunity for thous members of the community who are looking up front with their creations, including myself to.

    Now a bit about who owns it:

    diycm.com belongs to an online photocopier shop. I'm a administrator of the site and server it is running on. Shop owns few more domains which is using more then this one. So soon i'm going to replace diycm site with ... something... not sure... sort of links listing of our subdomains sites and listing of your games etc.

    I would like to create a strong domain position in google index - kind of SEO Tank ^^.

    So to recapitulate:

    • 150MB ( will increase if the site will be getting popular ) of a free hosting space. FTP access.
    • up to two subdomain names
    • SQL, MySQL, Front Page extension and few more.
    • a mail box with autorespoder and couple of alliases ( optional )
    • Hosted by me, which means you will have fast access to information if needed.

    Now the more pleasent part ^^' The conditions:

    • must be creative and active member of construct community
    • Site must be written in decent XHTML and CSS in SEO fashin. Can be based on good template. NO FLASH SITES and links, but 1 flash banner with logo or advertisment is allowed.

    • Must agree to place few links pointing at our sponsors pages and main domains. It would be nice as well if person wouldn't mind linking to other users site as well for good SEO.
    • You'll have 7 months to promote your site. It's enough time. If the site will gain traffic, you will be given more hard drive space if needed. However more space can be requested earlier.
    • If you planning to make some money via site we will have to work oput a mutual agreement.

    I don't exacly know what is the offer of the companies, can't even say if my offer is good enough, but i hope you appreaciate it. For any additional informations, please post questions here.

    'Black Crystal' reminds me of Jim Hanson's 'The Dark Crystal' Which i think is awsome ( film )

    About the software - i kind of like the online feature as one of basic ideas in development.

  • As far as it goes, everyone always have their opinions on things. I appreaciate that. However I'm not going to follow most of them, because i would end up constantly changing and fixing some things, what would waste my time. Sorry. The site design is based on the dev team presentational material. I think it looks good, and will look even better after few fixes i'm going to do. If dev team is happy with it, i'm happy to. On a side i can tell you that i'm planning to do a diferent designs for subsites as well. And all of them including my current front page one is done thinking of SEO to.

    If any one of you who thinks he can do better than what i did, I think he should join the competition.

  • Well, that is a highly specialized animation software. Construct is a generic game development tool; bone animation is a much smaller part of the engine compared to Anime Studio Pro. How many games that use bone animation are there compared to games that do not?

    Granted, having a more intuitive bone animation plugin would be nice, but I think it is not that important for Construct, which would benefit from many other additional features.

    I haven't said that it should be axacly the same, but some of the GUI ideas, and some of/the most nessesary features could be 'nicked'

  • Rich@ I advice you to check out Anime Studio Pro as a base for how bone movement editing it should work and look.

  • I really like the design, layout and way you've used content. Very impressive.

    One thing that I imagine could easily be changed (?) is the font used; I'd favour a slightly smaller and curvier font like the ones in the example designs in the opening post. I hope that's not too difficult to quickly change.

    Changing the font is not a problem ( altho this fonts will look sharper once the html site will be ready ).

    I'll see what fonts they used, however ,aybe best thing to do would be if you would give me names of fonts you would like me to use.

    btw. My first post from work XD they just connected the shop i'm working in XD

    Here's the home page mock up. There is few more things to be done like to better, more impresive screenshots, repeir a bit forum picture, maybe correct footer, and few minor once, and of course work out the text content.

    In the main NAV bar Construct is selected, but it is only to show how this will look like. Anyway, ther it is:
