    yOU LIKE SCREWATTACK? :>

  • have you tried layering them?

    What do you mean?

david hellman did a nice job with tiles in braid.

yes he did. but it is a platform game and there is more focus on backgrounds.

  • The feature I most often find myself wishing for when using Construct thus far has been the ability to manually enter in the coordinates for hotspots and image points in the image editor instead of clicking on the precise spot on the image itself.

I think it would be useful

  • I hate tilesets. And that's kind of werid - i love old snes action adventrues and rpgs, gfx there is tiled, and i've got no complains about it. Tilesets do work well with low res games were low pixels intensity was giving an illusion of a variety.

But every time i'm trying to draw a tileset i stuck on a part. Now days with such great tolls and high res possibilietes, i just cant's myslef enough within boundires putted by tiles. With small variety of shapes, it is always seam repetetive, not poetic and neither artistic. In the end i'm drawind whole picture. but that's no good if you want to keep size of the game small, especialy if it is an epic action adventure game with loads of locations, enemies etc. But in the end there's no othere way realy, but to make game envirement tiled.

Just thought i'll share with you my frustration.

  • LOL

  • I'd be more than pleased to have you on board for a project if I had one going at the moment (still waiting on a few bug fixes and features to make it in before getting into things full swing).

I'm a bit of a aficionado for music composition as well so I can appreciate the effort that has gone into those pieces. Really nice stuff man.

Cool. cheers let me know what this project will be about etc if will want to get me on board.

  • One more War Preparations (recent; fantasy)

  • Hi everyone,

I would like to announce, that my skills are for hire. I was thinking about it - am i good enough to propose my serveces. First to convince me was Holymonkey for whom I'm making a soundtrack for his fantasy platform game. Next person was arev. He's fresh cons user. However he makes his living working for a mobile game developer as a gfx artist. Some time ago he started he started developing his own space shooter game with construct. Both games are going to be commercial. I'm very thankful to them for giving me chance to prove my compositions are worth something. Thanks guys!

Those games are going to be realized sometime next year, so i thought that in meantime i could be hired for one or two more projects. So if you are interested, please spare some time listening to few of my demo songs. Thanks

    Demo songs:

Hinata - Place of sunlight ( electro fantasy; recent)

The not so sad story (new; fantasy)

The Appearance v2(old; semi symphonic; not finished)

Ultra X Zero ( inspired by megaman games ) ( techno; old )

Magic Temple ( fantasy; old )

    Orc Stories ( fantasy/fable; old )

    Past (fantasy; old)

    Memories (melo; old)

    Transport to... (techno; old)

    edit@War Preparations (recent; fantasy)/finish edit

Some of you already heard my metroid game tunes. But for those who not have had opportunity ( ) here are the links:

    Metroid: Alpha Hatch - Surface

Metroid: Alpha Hatch - Upper Bardaran

  • screen would be nice

edit@ i like it, but level seams unfinished, and it's a bit hard to controle the character.

  • In regards to my earlier post about the Ys series, apparently '

    Subscribe to Construct videos now

' (for the PC) is what most people consider the best in the series.

I won't provide a link, for it shouldn't be too hard to find via google, but a 100% english patch is readily available if you wanted to give it a shot.

It does looks interesting. will look for that for sure. thanks
