  • Thanks for the reply. No one who got it running? Is there a workaround?

  • I have added audio to my game which plays fine when I test it in my browser. Whenever I export for CocoonJS and play on my iPad mini, there is no audio. Is this even possible? Construct 2 automatically converts my audio files when I import them, but should I convert to any particular file type before importing?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Thanks zenox98. The examples helped me. I got it working now :)

A little offtopic but how could I make the steering a bit more direct? Now it seems like the car is floating/ flying.

  • Hey sqiddster,

Thanks a lot for the quick response :) If I delete the car behaviour (and make the car move by applying forces) then the "Immovable" set to "yes" on the wall will have effect?

  • Hey guys,

I am stuck on a very simple subject. I have a project similar to this:

    dropbox.com/s/28ebqmjx0sds9ck/collision.capx

I want the wall to be solid. When the car hits the wall it should stop. If I attach the "solid" behavior to the wall, the car starts to slide strangely and unnaturally against the wall. If I attach "physics" to the wall and set "Immovable" to "yes", the car just passes through the wall. Why does not the car stop?

In my project the car both has the "physics" behavior (to interact with other objects) and the "cars" behavior to move.

    Any help is appreciated <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I have tested my game on my iPad mini using CocoonJs. It runs fine. My game will be played at an exhibition. I am considering to pay for an iOS Developer program. Will my game run as an .ipa similar to how it runs in cocoonJS?

  • Thanks a lot for the example!

  • That is exactly what I need. You are awesome!

  • I have a question. Suppose Im making a Zombie game. I have two Sprites: Zombie and Human.

At the start of the game there is 1 Zombie. There are many humans. When that Zombie collides with a Human, the Human becomes infected (a Zombie himself).

Now that Human that just became infected it can also infect Humans. How would I do this in Construct 2?

Ideally I would like to change the Sprite of Zombie to Human. In Construct 2 I cannot check for a collision between a Human (with infected = "true") and a Human (with infected = "false").

I have now achieved this by destroying the Human and spawning a Zombie, but this is not really pretty.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks for the reply, but this does not help me out. I have tried using Photoshop, Fireworks (24 bit PNG) and tried to cut off a small piece of the image in the Construct editor. The problem remains. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Ive found a workaround. In Construct I attempted to mirror the image by dragging the small white square. Instead, it enables you to cut the image from the top side. I could cut off the border.

  • PNGs with transparency have a black border around them, see:

    imageshack.us/photo/my-images/259/construct2stripes.jpg

This border is not part of the image.

It can be noticed in the backend and during the game.

It is not influenced by the browser.

Im not an expert, but try to rename the plugin's name to Socket or try to open the .capx from outside the plugin folder.

This error drives me crazy, it seems to randomly pop up. I am using the latest, stable plugin. Anyone can please help me?

    Javascript error!

    NS_ERROR_MALFORMED_URI: The URI is malformed

    131.155.225.192/socket.io.min.js, line 2 (col undefined)

This is either a bug in Construct 2 or a problem in a third party plugin or behavior - please report it to the developer!

  • Ive filled in the Socket server address and port in Firefox. Then I opened Google Chrome, I filled in the same values. The duck appears in Firefox but in Chrome the screen remains blank. I want another duck to appear. Is this even possible?

Apart from that, I regulary get this error inside Firefox:

    Javascript error!

    NS_ERROR_MALFORMED_URI: The URI is malformed

    131.155.225.192/socket.io.min.js, line 2 (col undefined)

This is either a bug in Construct 2 or a problem in a third party plugin or behavior - please report it to the developer!
