  • HI I KNOW XDK IS A SEPARATE PROGRAMME FROM CONSTRUCT 2 BUT ITS THE NEXT STEP TO LAUNCHING APPS.

    I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED AN APP THROUGH CONSTRUCT 2 AND XDK, BUT I CANT AD ANY ADVERTS TO MY GAMES????? THERE ARE NO SOLID TUTORIALS ON THE NEW UPDATED VERSION OF XDK PLEASE SOMEBODY ANYBODY HELP ME

    (ALL TUTORIALS SAY CHOOSE "GET PLUGIN FROM WEB" VIA THIRD PARTY) WHICH DOES NOT EXIST IN THE NEW VERSION OF XDK

    but for some reason it doesn't work, iv set it like that before.

    as soon as i press play and the game(layout) continues

    the seconds continue as well

    i went -> system -> start of layout,

    but under what would i find "set timer"

    or where would i find option to set timer

  • dude im not even sure my timer correct.....

    iv created a text object

    iv got global variable timer = 0

    system every tick timer .. set text to (int(time))

    this adds time up in seconds.

    how do i store that time, or set the variable to zero

  • HI IM UNCLEAR ON HOW TO SET UP A TIMER THAT WOULD COUNT SECONDS AND SPLIT SECONDS.

    ID LIKE THE TIMER TO START AS GAME STARTS THEN COUNT HOW MANY SECONDS I SURVIVED IN GAME .

    SO IF I DIE THE TIMER WOULD RESET.

    THANKS HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

    i have got the timer to work, but it continues to count even thou i "die"

    so my question is how do i get timer to stop when i die, and start when i restart game

    plz help

    i woud like a ball to randomly spawn on the screen and knock it with another ball (that i'v already created)

    into the goals.

    i already have the first ball that i control with the mouse/touch ,

    but creating the second ball to only respond/bounce when i want it, at the angle i hit it i cant do.

    the second ball either just falls(gravity)

    or it goes bouncing around if i set it to bullet.

    i basically want the second ball to be spawned every 5 seconds STAGNANT and only when i knock it will it bounce off my ball at the angle i hit it.

  • Each main level is wrap around meaning if you go to far you'll end up on the opposite end, however unlike

    Pac Man i want the screen scrolling giving the impression that the space each level takes place in is infinite.

    so basically instead of appearing on the opposite end of screen, as you run to the right the stage seamlessly repeats its self like a tiled background , the same screen is repeated (wrapped) with all enemies and loops

    i really need help with this if anyone has knowledge or any ideas, im sure there is someone smart enough to figure this out coz i am just a beginer and cant wrap my brain around this (excuse the pun)

  • i tried ,i didn't get it to work here is a link to what im trying to achieve , its the classic sega game flicky (see how the bird passes the same exit sign when moving to the right. i want to create a similar game but struggle to get the game to scroll like this

  • hi plz help someone. I'm making my first game and i do not know how to make the actual "game" wrapped .

    basically i have a platform sprite and i have the screen scrolled to him, the "hero"

    so when hero leaves layout going right he appears on the left and vice versa. (this is the concept i want but not entirely).

    so this is where i need help, i want instead of the hero appearing on the left when leaving the layout on right,

    the hero runs right towards layout end and the screen follows him and its like a tile effect where the layout is repeated ,including (background, enemies and all items left there.)

    so its like a loop effect on the actual game when played not only the background.

    not sure if im explaining properly but if anyone understand and is able to guide me it would greatly be appreciated.thanks

    basically i want each stage to be just one screen where hero collects items, but if running to the right or left like in mario bros instead of seeing the next layout u smoothly run into the same layout.
