  • I'm very sorry but I only use the Event Editor, not any scripts :/ so that confuses me, will look into it and see if i can figure it out anyway.

  • Hi!

    I want to click an object, which has three frames, each of them different, I use the events displayed in the image.

    Ive also tried adding instance variables to the mix and also tried skipping the sub-events and making two different events, with no luck.

    All results are the same, when i click it the first time, it goes to the last "2" frame, instead of stopping at the first.

    My goal is to click the object, make it go to frame "1", then when i click it again go to frame "2", not go directly to two.

    What am i missing, this seems very simple, but gives me headaches <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad">

    Its a game I completed way back in 2011 when depressed, working a monotonous job at a manufacturing company for packaging solutions.

    I had it in the old arcade and Ive reposted it in the new, since I don't want it to go away. It has alot of personal value to me, being the only thing that kept me out of depression for that period of my life.

  • Im glad that people found my topic a hot subject and im glad to see many shared my concern. Im also in favour of a separate category for the unfinished games.

    I also agree with Ashley about removing them from the Top/Feature listings, as you have done with the Example games, which was very nice of you to do.

  • Is it just me or does it bother you aswell that there are alot of trial/engine-test/demos floating around on the Scirra Arcade?

    I feel that if you want to test your concepts out and get peoples opinions then use the "Your Creations" section of the Forums. Posting demos in the arcade kind of removes the purpose of the whole "Your Creations" section.

    Also it feels like its unfair to all people who tested their games endlessly for errors, added own music, a whole game concept that works from start to finish, instructions and so on, to then see your creations lost in a mist of demos and trail games.

    This are just my personal opinion and i like to hear what other people think about it, no hard feelings <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I made a sprite for the player-controlled hero with very thin 1-pixel wide legs.

    This sprite just goes through the top of the platform under him and down maybe 3 pixel, before he stops. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle">

    I have included a box that has the same settings as the player-controlled hero, but with a better base to stand on, this dosent fall through the solid ground.

    Is there a way to make the character not fall 3 pixels into the platform?

    even though its so thin.

    I used Click&Play back in the days and have been looking for inspiration ever since, recently quit my job to study and found C2, been trying Game Creator but found it way too un-userfriendly. So now im back in the game and soon to have my first game in the Arcade.

  • I have to agree, the Bee is just hilarious when he dies, and also how the physics makes him bounce off anything like he is turned to stone or something.

    Simple game, but works.

    A friend of mine said some things that i will correct before ill release it on the arcade and to my co-workers.

    • Better Tutorial
    • Seconds counting down from 60 then counting up to 60.

    To Noga: No that is not even slightly possible ;D

    Also i have some wonders about the sound buffering, but i will post it on another

    more appropriate forum.

  • This game is a dedication to my previous co-workers, so be aware that the game is more of a work-inspired game, then something very creative ;D

    I worked at a packaging-factory making plywood and wooden board constructions.

    I post it here so i can get beta-testers and in the future maybe upload it on the Schirra Arcade.

    The game is loaded from my Dropbox, so if delay, its prob. cause i downloa/upload/play HoN ;D

  • When i checked the Space Blaster Example game, there was a code there preventing it.

    At least thats what the code comment said.

    Just make a Event called "Keyboard: On Space Pressed" and have nothing in the Action section.

    This is what the game code comment said, quoted.

    "This event is intentionally empty, it simply stops the browser scrolling down when you press spacebar (Construct 2 prevents browser shortcuts if any key press event exists for it)."
