  • I always try to use WAV sound format, it never gave me any problems.

I recently had an issue, though, while trying to import sounds with construct because of my antivirus. I related the problem here:

    Good luck!

  • I believe this "(" is possible to use, but unconventional, which may result problems depending on the language of the program is using to read your content. My advice is: stick to the conventional: we normally use "_" to link words (which is similar to a space) or a simple dot "." Or, in the case of Construct, i usually do something like this: "family_object_instance(or index, using a number).

    * " [ ] : ; | = these are the other ones i can remember by head, and can't recommend using for naming files.

Alright, so to the actual problem: i saw you're from Poland. There is a lot of characters with accents in the polish alphabet - even on consonants. Am i right? If so, if i were you i would try and get rid of them.

    Good luck!

  • delgado, this shouldn't be a problem. The problem comes with characters or words with punctuation which english does not use. Also "´" "`". Double check the files names of all the objects in the project. It happened to me once, neglecting a single "ç" resulted with me unable to load my game on Newgrounds and almost throwing my pc on the wall.

  • Since OP seems like non-english speaker, i can assure that some of his files contain characters like "ç" "^" "~" etc used in other languages (like portuguese).

Make sure all of your files do not contain these foreign characters. It makes trouble when the browser begins to read the files, and that's why the loading bar becomes red.

  • Yep, i'm absolute positive that it was Avast that was causing me this issue. It caused some weird issues as well, like i could not open executables from my desktop. Really weird stuff. My girlfriend also had problems with random internet disconnects... and guess what: she uninstalled it as well and we're currently golden

I never thought the antivirus could interact with such things like the converter inside construct 2, but yeah.

  • Just to make a record of my issue on the forums, so anyone having the same issue i had could resolve it without spending as much time i spent. i was trying to import sounds into my project without success, failing every time to convert to either OGG and AAC. I was making sure all the files i was attempting to convert were WAV and 44100 Hz, and still could not have them imported to Construct 2. I uninstalled Avast and BAM, no more issues.

By the way, i was having constant disconnects on my internet for no reason as well. Turns out no Avast resulted in no more disconnects...

    Hope this helps someone.

    Cheers!

  • Can't say how thankfull i am with those compliments... I guess i can get used with the idea of calling myself an artist

    Thanks a lot!

  • Thanks, it means a lot!

  • Hi everyone! This is my very first game, which I've been working on for about 7 months.

I'd really like to have some constructive feedback. When i posted it on Newgrounds, i made the mistake of uploading it when it was barely finished. This, in some way, made the game less 'visible' to the people that like to provide feedback about new games there...

Anyway, i really like the results i got. I'm not an artist (the only thing i made, when i was younger, was some oil painting here and there), and i began learning about making games as i developed Grave Clicker. Here is the link to my creation:

The things i'm working on adding in the game are: a priest that annoys the player; some vermins capable of damaging the grinder; snowy places or more climates; new kinds of graves and an endless graveyard (like a challenge mode) with infinite respawn of graves.

    Thanks in advance.
