  • Thanks for the comments tombufa what you got against sketchup I heard its really easy to get into although most 3d developers only swear my 3d max and Maya software Now back to sketchup i mainly wanted too use it for character 3d sprites which will prolly mean ill have to find a 3d animation software or im thinking if its converted into a sprite i can use a 2d animation ill have to play around and see I guess

  • Oh okay I just remember reading somewhere on the forums about 3d sprites with Google sketchup just was trying to see do anyone use them alot in there games

  • Does anyone know if its worth the work it take to make 3d sprites is it really a big difference in the game graphics ? Do it really make your game look 3d

  • Lordshiva1948 your time capx was pretty cool I wonder can you do the same if you wanted a graphical in game timer on screen also. But I was able to import my number graphics well using that example . I can tell u know this engine pretty well. Now I just have to figure out a perfect way to disable player controls while that timer is goin

  • Yeah the whole last month I been thinking do I want to buy a gamemaker license or a C2 license and then today I was like the winner is C2 lol but thanks for letting me know its worth it

  • So what is you saying that its going to take an array to accomplish what im trying too do

  • Wow this sounds like a advance topic but thanks im see if YouTube have some videos on this

  • Lets say you didnt want the player to be able to advance to next level unless they achieved a certain score . Now correct me if im wrong but wouldn't that be a Boolean true or false or could you also do a compare variable im trying too see which one would be better . I have my score setup already but to make the game a challenge I want to set a score for them to beat on each level . As im still confused on local and global variables as in when should you use either or if that makes Sense

  • I appreciate you guys!

  • Okay thanks I guess that makes sense to do. Hopefully I can buy a c2 license soon so I can put it on the app store

  • That was pretty cool thanks but say for instance you wanted a more graphical number font lets say something you made in a artwork program where the numbers looked more cool with some style to it can i add that in c2

  • okay ill try your variable method and for the animation with the count down you was saying that mean ill have to create some graphics with numbers in correct or i guess the simple way would be to use the text object like you do for Score

  • Lets say you doing a arcade style game and u wanted a 3, 2 , 1 countdown timer to be displayed at the center of the screen before the game starts and you didnt want the player to be able to do anything or pressed any buttons until the countdown was done how would u be able to do that ?
