  • Is there any way to grab the current screen like a screenshot?

  • That is really awesome, pitty how much it slows down when there are a few of them though

  • Funny paypal locked my account now too and want me to print off tome document and send a load of crap to them.

They can bugger off, only had 5 in there, but have officially lost all trust in them.

    Moneybookers FTW!

  • Paypal hates everyone

Your not wrong there, the amount of times i have had accounts frozen, funds on hold and never given back.

Trust me when i say i highly doubt you will see the funds again, when there on hold they actually take your funds and do stuff with them.

  • Fair enough Liam, it wasn't meant to offend. I love you, everyone loves you, and OpenGL is a good diea basically.

Would be really cool for future. Portability seperates the boys from the men

"I love you" can i get a t-shirt from you saying that? hahaha

Well the SDL runtime will be a great start as said by "timtim" that will lead right to opengl, anyone heard from him on it?

  • I couldn't actually find a suitable testing server or script for POST; if anyone finds one let me know. POST can also handle uploading of files to servers, via multi-part. I may touch on this in a future tutorial.

Next though I'll look at direct connections through sockets.

    Tim

What do you need to be able to do the POST thing, i may be able to help out.

  • I am chilled and i appreciate you saying it wasn't poking fun at us, but still it was pretty annoying to see a joke like it.

I am not saying don't have fun, just be a little more careful with jokes

  • > You guys are just plainm being asses now, my post talking about linux and opengl is not unreasonable, do you guys really think your funny poking fun at us?

    >

I'm not making fun of you at all. I'm just making a joke. No need to take things personally.

Me and others talked about it on linux and mac os x using opengl and such and you went on to joke about it being on something stupid, to me it is pretty hard to see it not poking fun at us.

  • Any big update on this at all?

  • > I get what you are saying, but it is no reason for people to come back with comments like his poking fun at me and others who like the idea of it. It's that childish like attitude that brings down so many communities.

His comment was a joke, and not aimed at making fun of anyone. The fact someone has independently implemented SDL and Ashley wishes to continue it is a clear indicator of the interest in multi-platform gaming. Most of the people on this board agree that it'd be great to expand the platforms Construct can create for.

I guess i just need to chill out a bit really, it just annoys me a bit when someones jokes like that i guess i just have strong views on Linux.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Okay you two just got lame now.

  • It's done when it's done, and yeah, you'd select it from the runtimes list.

For the record, it's probably Crysis itself that sucks up all your resources, not necessarily DirectX itself. Remember OpenGL and DirectX are both just interfaces to the same hardware.

Well that should keep others quiet about OpenGL being crappier

And fair enough on the done when done thing heh.

  • Looking awesome, keep up the great work!
