  • Absolutely, we can talk in more detail about this. I can't send PMs on here for some reason. If you can PM me YOUR e-mail address, I can contact you that way. I also have Trillian and Steam. I'd like to show you some of my level design so far.

  • I design the stages, so I would just need you to code the player/menus/enemies etc.

    Would that be a possibility?

  • Hey there,

are you familiar with Classic style Castlevania games?

  • I tried to send you a PM, but this website wouldn't let me ;(

How familiar are you with classic Castlevania games?

  • Hello there,

Let me just start out by saying that I'm a Castlevania fanatic. I've been playing Castlevania since 1990 and the first game I've ever played in my life was Castlevania III: Dracuala's Curse.

With that said, I've been working on a Castlevania fan game for about 7 years now and was never able to fully get it off the ground because my programmer kept dropping out on me, or going MIA. The game has had MANY different engine changes ranging from Game Maker to MMF2. Obviously now, I've chosen to use Construct 2.

My main role in this project is level design, which I've been amused by most of my life. I just love designing 2-d, and 3-d levels. (I used to develop 3d maps for a Half-Life mode called Svencoop.)

Long story short, I need a someone that is familiar with Castlevania (most games up until Order of Ecclesia), and knows how things such as character/weapon movements work in those games and can adapt all of that to Construct 2 with the event sheet editor. I would preferably like someone who shares the love for Castlevania that I do. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I've already got several stages partially designed, and I could PM anyone who is interested a couple of screenshots.

As for assets, I would provide you with all the assets you would need as far as sprites and sound effects go. I've got a whole backlog of assets to use from all the different games.

Thanks for reading, and please let me know if you are able to assist. 7 years is way too long to bring this project off the ground!
