  • Confirmed (if my coding is correct)

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/36472942/construct/bugs/browser-hidden_bug.PNG" border="0" />

Neither of the two browsers condition stops the music or display an alert window.

    Tested in Chrome and FF.

  • No problem. Glad to hear you have got your project back. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Nope, the caproj file is the gamename.caproj.

Open it in a text editor and remove references to the missing event sheet in this file.

  • gmx0: you must have been using a very old release then.

    I don't recall capx-breaking changes for quite a while.

Are you sure it's not missing a custom plugin/behavior ? (one that would have been updated in the meantime)

  • If it is missing, creating the missing name.xml file in the "Event sheets" folder should allow you to launch the project.

  • For reference this topic was about implementing a dialog system.

You might want to have a look at it for some ideas about implementing lots of textual narrative.

As usual with features request, Ashley has a lot to do already, this might get implemented, but no timetable for it.

This bugs me a little though as the editbox is multiline in the sense that if you press shift+enter it will jump a line and allow you to continue entering your text.

This works the same for the comments.

Does this do the trick ?

  • Capx are .zip files.

So note the name of the missing file, and go check inside the capx if you find said file.

If you don't, open the main .caproj file (in a text editor) and look for the name of the missing file; remove it.

Do those manipulations on a backup capx, better safe than sorry.

If it still doesn't work, post your capx (unmodified) I'll have a look at it.

  • TheBricktop: You can't invert triggers (so no inversion for "on collision") but you can invert "is overlapping".

  • Consider posting your capx (or at least the event system and some placeholder animations) this will make it easier to see what may be going wrong.

  • Awesome.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/36472942/construct/forumhelp/ctrl_w.png" border="0" />

I had tested this trick but made the mistake of putting another "On ctrl down" in the blank event.

    Thanks for the clarification/demonstration ASHLEY.

  • Welcome <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle">

You can download the free bundle that comes with sounds, musics and sprites.

  • In the ribbon in the tab events you already have a search feature.

It filters the keyword in the event sheet.

I remember "Replace" being talked about a long time ago. This is probably already on Ashley's list.

  • They do pay attention to it, pretty closely.

Nevertheless Scirra is a two-men team with a lot of work on their hands.

Also changes in the IDE needs to be passed to the exporter (C2's architecture).

Sometime what appears as "simple" to the user runs through complex tunnels behind the curtain.

  • Well congrats sir <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

This appear to make my firebug respond.

Meaning that your plugin works for Chrome and FF <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Awesome job ! This is top notch.

  • Ok I've done some more formatting.

I think it reduces the clutterness of the list.

If devs provide a description there, I'll add it. if they don't I also agree that the topic for the plugin with full desc is one click away.

xeed: if you want you can provide the list of descriptions, I'll add them.
