Kyatric's Forum Posts

  • Using the search field in the Tutorials part about the "fog of war" I get at least one tutorial/thread.

Considering the tile movement and stuff, check out the how do I FAQ if I remember correctly there are several items in it that deals with some of the things you've listed.

But I have to agree with jayderyu, if you make a search (for all time) on the forums you'll find answers on how to make everything you ask for.

  • Don't worry, you're the not the first and certainly not the last to do so ^^

The community is open to communication anyway, so no problem.

It's just, take the time to get used to Construct2, it's been around for long enough now so that its own ways will cover beginner to advanced users needs.

  • Wouldn't it be simpler to use different animations in a single sprite and switch between the animations ? (The frame numbers/logic would still be the same).

Or am I missing something ?

  • Fixed the link indeed.

Trying to make money out of such link/resource is not very moral.

Moreover, it kind of goes against GraphicBurger's license.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Well my bad, I tried some games again as well as the current capx and it works now as intended.

    I don't know what happened.

But at least I get to see the texts as intended ^^

Closing the thread, sorry for the false alarm.

  • I don't have windows 8 computers at home, so can't really reproduce it.

    I'll try on XP tomorrow.

  • Link to .capx file (required!):

    https//dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36472942/construct/bugs/TextBug_Firefox26_C2-r154.capx

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Execute capx in FireFox 26

    2.

    3.

    Observed result:

    A blank screen

    Expected result:

    The text being displayed

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: no

Firefox: yes (26, it used to work in 25)

    Internet Explorer: dunno

    Operating system & service pack:

    Win 7 pro

    Construct 2 version:

    154

It used to work in FireFox 25, I updated right at the end of this week end's Ludum Dare, and since, text is a no display in FireFox.

My GTX 560 Ti drivers are up to date.

Setting webGL to No in the project's properties doesn't change a thing.

  • I've rated the games of this thread too.

There are some really good one out there, it was nice being able to play them.

Rilem: WASD only control is evil (for international users not on QWERTY keyboards).

Your game looks awesome, please allow to use at least arrows or an alternate layout (ZQSD or ESDF that works for both QWERTY and AZERTY).

  • Just in time (even for the jam) here is :

The most beautiful day of her life

    Arrows to move the bride

    X and C to hit.

You only get one minute to reach the church. Good luck :)

  • Congrats to everybody that managed entering the compo.

This time again, my project needs a bit more time to be completed.

I'm running for the jam, once more ^^

  • zenox98: We don't really moderate the "Help wanted" forum.

  • It's not so hard for you. But I'm not from USA (and those countries) and can't create Kick project

Yes it's not so hard being the face and the legal/public responsible for a project that has no description, posted by a person whose very first post in the forums is to ask this.

Also good job considering KickStarter as a lottery.

If I win, you'll get money from Kickstarter. Then you'll send it to me (WebMoney / my bank account; not Western Union, it's expensive)

    Good luck.

  • Rather than two different object types, you should rather make instances and use an instance variable to pick only the instance you want.

You can find more on the subject in the online video course we had made with Yann. (The lecture 1 deals with this subject amongst other things).

  • : In case you haven't noticed, the few more effects were added in the beginning of December.

    Updated now.
